'16 FL RB Carlin Fils-Aime (Vol commit 7/30/15)

Who has a 270 lb fullback? We never did.

Corey Anderson played fullback at 275 I think was his listed weight. Blocked for Foster if memory serves me right.

Anderson topped out at 250 at RB...when they tried to convert him to LB he actually lost weight iirc...if he tried DE before he departed, maybe he leaked into the 260s.

There was the LSU FB who we were recruiting as a DT. He went to LSU, couldn't crack the depth chart at DT and got moved to FB. I'm blanking on his name though.

Edit: JC Copeland

If you watch the 3rd Saturday highlight video posted in the RF Talk thread the announcers of the game mention CA weighing in at 275...so...

Well that seals it! ANNOUNCERS huh? Back then I followed newspapers and TOS...and used my vision. He didn't look like a 3-4 DE. :)

Getting sidetracked on this one player tho...my original response was to a poster who pined for the DAYS when our FBs were 275 lbs...Anderson wasn't a long term starter at FB and definitely wasn't a Vols prototype at the position...think more Greg Amsler-Will Bartholomew...235-240 range.

I was the poster you were responding to and that's not what I said.

The guy said we never had a FB that big. I was pointing out the one instance in which we apparently did. I'm assuming the announcers were getting that information from a roster listing. The numbers may be inflated a bit but not far off.

He's the real deal. When he hits that top gear, no one is catching him.

Finished with 2 rushing TDs and a KO return TD tonight.

Had 154 yards rushing w/ TD runs of 35 & 42 yards. He was held to 10 yards on 5 carries in the 2nd & 3rd quarters before breaking loose for 73 4th-quarter rushing yards.

He tweaked his ankle in the 2nd quarter so that was another reason he had fewer carries.

That offenses doesn't suit his strengths (or his teams) and he still dominates.

Really excited to have this kid in Orange. Is he an EE?

Hopefully we can land Richardson in 2017. That would give us a really nice blend of power, speed, and agility heading with Richardson, CFA, and Kelly. Would ease the pain heading into a Hurd and Kamara-less 2017.
