Earlier in the thread, CFA said that they didn't prioritize him. He came for an event, and was given low priority. He was still interested in them though. It was sad.

I don't say this about every recruit, but I think we have a special player here.

Wait until he gets to showcase himself in Athens next year 👀

I remember when all that happened with his visit and him not feeling like a priority. I will try to find where I read that again. Might take a bit.

Carlin Fils-aime, a 4-star from Naples, Fla., tried to remain upbeat about the UGA visit during an interview with the AJC on Sunday. But it was easy to tell that it didn’t meet his expectations.

A lot his disappointment had to do with being unable to meet Mark Richt in person during his UGA visit.

“I think he was busy,” Fils-aime told the AJC. “The hostess kept trying to call him, but he never answered. I guess he had a lot of stuff to do.

“I felt kind of letdown. When you go to the school, you want to talk to the head coach. He was busy though, so there’s nothing he can do about it. I guess I’ll have to talk to him another time.”

Fils-aime said he and his parents did get to chat with UGA recruiting Bryan McClendon, who “told us he was sorry that none of the coaches were able to talk to me.” In UGA’s defense, it was a chaotic atmosphere with more than 500 high school kids on campus for Saturday night.

UGA is still looking for a running back in this year’s class, and Fils-aime is not sure if he’s a top target for the Bulldogs. “I couldn’t say if I was (a big priority).

How embarrassing, sounds like Dooley

UGA has had their pick of RB's lately. I'm sure he was lower on their board, and they got who they wanted in Holyfield. The question is, "was their evaluation correct?" I'm beginning I think they may have passed on a star

Sounds that way. The kid kills it against good competition. Each week he puts up very solid numbers and his touchdown per touch ratio is extremely impressive!

Maybe he wasn't their number one top choice. Going back and reading AJC articles, it sounded like they very much would have taken his commitment. Richt just messed up by not making it a point to see Fils-Aime. It would surprise me, if he wasn't at least number 2-3 with Holyfield, Devwah Waley, and Fils-Aime. Auburn had him up their pretty high, as well. Carlin was a huge pickup for us! Now other teams are really starting to come after him. Florida, for one, but he sounds pretty solid to us.

Not gonna lie..when I first heard he committed here I was disappointed thinking of him as a consolation to getting Feaster. At that time I went off stars, rating, and word from other people.

Now that I watched film I believe that we may have landed the better player. If I looked at tape of Feaster and Fils-aime side by side without knowing who had 4 or 5 stars, I would have guessed Fils-Aime was the five star. I am more of a tape guy, but even stats supports my view. Fils-Aime has 12.2 YPC, and 20 touchdowns to Feasters 7.2 YPC and 7 TDs. Feaster looks slow and average, Fils-Aime looks explosive.

If I had to compare his game to anyone, I would say Arian Foster. He runs very similar to him. He uses fast, long strides to hit his gaps and finds a way to outrun everyone else. Overall I am really, really excited about this pickup. I could easily see him as being a 5 star, or in the very least rated above a 95. Seems the staff has a good eye for talent despite media rankings.

What happened to the two back sets? I thought we would see more of Kamara and Hurd together.

I really wish they would just line up in the I formation and run it down the other team's throat especially in goal line situations
