Nothing to do with Davis. Callahan said Johnson was high on TN board. Barton also saw him in person at LSU camp and said he was arguably the best WR there in a very good group.

Kid is a 4 star on 247 and ESPN. That leaves one main sight in Rivals with him as a 3 star. amazing that there are people acting like this wasn't a good pickup.

the staff thinks Swain goes to Florida. Mecole is a long shot. That leaves plenty of room for 2 of Callaway/Davis/Victor

Where did 247 say that? I've never seen 247 report that staff members of a school told them directly that a kid is leaning to one school or another.

IMO we are in best shape with Callaway. Davis and especially Mecole are seemingly going to be hard to pull out of GA. Davis may go to Auburn though.

I wasn't shooting from the hip. I read it over there on both vol and gator side saying the vol side of things feels momentum has swung to the gators. Vol side sounds like staff to me but maybe they are just talking to a ghost

I am pretty sure they can talk off record but it could have been recruiting staff, GA or OPs staff not necessarily coaching full time staff. I know back when Sirmon was here as a GA he was a lot of people's contact for recruiting.

I would like Swain but he is a Gator. He told Gator 247 he pretty much knows his destination and whoever their sources are at his school are saying its Florida due to location, mom, and depth chart. I guess he got over them not showing him love early on.
