I think it sure was a good look with him standing beside that beautiful power T at the end of the video. Could this be the year that a recruit actually shocks the world? Go VOLS!

Since he still mentions that he will not take officials to Tennessee and Georgia, i think that indiocates we are still co-leaders with the pups.

That's a good point. He knows what he'll get with us and UGA. I'd still rather him come though so we stay fresh in his mind.

that would sound like a silent fart

Terrifyingly accurate, IMO.

The problem with this argument is that a majority of the highest paid WR's are big and physical. Megatron, Bryant, D. Thomas, V. Jackson, Fitzgerald, and even Jordy Nelson. Julio Jones and AJ Green are about to get paid. Mike Wallace, Randall Cobb, Jeremy Maclin, Desean Jackson, and Antonio Brown are all shorter guys, but I am not sure a couple of those are worth their contract. But it is easier to make top dollar when you are bigger. Just being real even though that doesn't help us.

Production trumps size in determining the contracts. I think Hardman's position that will get him to the league is at WR, IMO.

Sorry, but doing a Bleacher Report vid just to release your top 10 is ridiculous and silly. I'm cool with doing a commitment vid like JG did, but top 10? Really?

I agree with you argument about UGA's development.

But, the NFL wants size at the WR position. Megatron, Thomas, Bryant, and even Brandon Marshall have been far more productive than any of the shorter ones. Antonio Brown is about the only one that has been very consistent and productive the last several years. At this point, Wallace and Jackson are probably not worth their contract.

Agree on Wallace and Jackson. Edelman, Steve Smith, Welker, R. Cobb, and TY Hilton all have earned or outplayed theirs though.

Oh yea, there are guys who have outplayed their contracts. But I was referring to the highest paid WR's. Cobb just got paid, but I don't believe the others are in the top 20 in salary. Heck, Welker had huge production, and the Broncos paid him $6 million/year. If you look at the top 20 highest paid, there is a trend.

I agree with your overall premise that 6-4 225 is the NFL's obvious preference, but currently, 9 of the top 20 paid WRs are 6-0 and under, and TY Hilton will join that group next year when he enters FA. That doesn't include Odell Beckham either. Welker's Denver salary was largely based on his age and injury (concussion) history.

I didn't see quite that many in the list that I saw, but 7 of the top 10 are big WR's. Also, Julio Jones and AJ Green are about to get paid, and they will be looking for Bryant and Thomas type money.

M. Wallace
J. Maclin
R. Cobb
V. Cruz
P. Garçon
A. Brown
D. Jackson
T. Smith
G. Tate

Like I said, I agree on the preference for larger WRs, but the NFL is evolving as well to find ways to utilize athletes at WR in space who don't meet the traditional NFL size, and those guys are cashing in as well.
