Actually, UT is 5th in overall offense (total yardage) in the SEC, and 3rd in scoring. I'd say we are much better than "pretty average".

Oklahoma, Florida & Arkansas all stuffed us when they needed to. Georgia & South Carolina both had the ball with a chance to win because we couldn't possess the ball and score when needed. Because when you struggle to close out games reports start flying around that are negative to the coaching. Too many of those types of stories create doubt in a program's future to recruits and their families.
This may or may not be a huge factor but it is a factor to some extent thus my answer of how you win does make a difference.
If Tennessee was 6-0 in close games not 2-4 the media would be all about the coaching staff.
Maybe it is more how you lose than how you win but unfortunately they are related.

I know our team is young, and we are ABSOLUTELY making progress. I'm not criticizing them. Just stating my opinion of our fourth quarter offense. These same youngsters will be dominating folks all game next year. And it will be a beautiful thing.

whats funny is people hate the chart. Yet we are fricking unstoppable on offense with our scripted plays, from the chart. seems like we need more of the chart.

Yeah seems it take awhile to recover when thrown off the chart. We have zero trouble moving ball in first 20 scripted plays

Kyle Davis was on hand to watch Auburn drop to 5-5 against UGA today. On Auburn's first 5 series of the 2nd half, they had 15 yards on 16 plays with 4 punts (3 of them were three and outs) and a fumble. Both QB's Johnson and White were atrocious. I can't believe that he could sit through that and still sign with them.

Look at the roster when he was here. A lot of upperclassmen with experience. Firing Phil, losing Kiffen and hiring Dooley really put us so far behind everyone else. I don't see how people do not understand that it's going to take time to develop the guy's we've already signed. That's not an excuse. That is an biological fact.

Totally agree. We are still one of the thinnest teams in the sec depth wise.

Don't see how any prospect would chose them over us right now. We could end up with a better record than them. But the big difference is that they're 2 years removed from a national championship appearance and we're 2 years removed from the toilet. How could anyone not see that as two programs heading in different directions?

But...but...but Malzan won so many games in his first year. He is an offensive genius. It only took him one year and he is the best coach in the SEC. My, my I wonder what happened?

Btw, disagreeing with some of the stuff you come up with hardly makes one negative.
