When are y'all going to realize they do those goofy cb's to drum up interest in a recruit to sell more subscriptions? I was a member of Volquest for years and the same information is available here that is on their website. I would venture to guess that a majority of the time most "insiders" on the pay sites know about as much as we do when it comes to where a recruit is going.

Majority of CB predictions are not worth paying attention to. Some are. It just depends on who is really in contact with a kid often or really covers that area well. If it's just some random person that doesn't cover any of the teams involved or have any connections to area it's safe to ignore it as a guess

Nigel has been a silent for a few weeks, everyone knows this.

Nigel probably put out some pro Auburn nuggets yesterday because he wants to have some attention on his announcement in the morning and for it not to be just a boring event.

This has happened to us a thousand times on the other side where we think we have a shot but it's just a kid wanting some excitement around his announcement.

Vol!

Is it possible that the fact Warrior picked an early announcement time (8 am), is to give the VOLS a great start on signing day and perhaps influence others that will be announcing later in the day to follow him?

You right

That's certainly a possibility. Would be a great way to start signing day

I hope that's an accurate take and if it is, I just wish he had given a verbal commitment to us and tried to influence others sooner. We never gathered any momentum after Guarantano and we needed some after those December de-commitments. I hope our targets waiting to NSD doesn't become a trend.

I have no doubt that the early Warrior announcement is calculated. It swaying another prospect at the 11th hour? That I am a little more hesitant to admit but HS kids are impressionable to say the least..

It would be odd for me to think that at 8 am tomorrow any of these are undecided. I doubt they are influenced by an early morning fax. But who knows. I've never been in that position.

Turns out in 1994 nobody was looking for a 5'9" - 150lb - bolt of lightning. If coach put me in we could've won state and I can still throw a football over them mountains!

For anyone still worried about this kid, all I have to say is this:

By all accounts, this kid has a degree of class and maturity to him. I think we can say the same for his family.

I just don't see a family with such tight-UT ties allowing Nigel to string UT along for so long, if he planned to go somewhere else.

I'm not saying they would try to stop him from going to another school, but if he were interested in Bama or Auburn, I think he would have committed long ago and never let it come down to NSD.

Just my 2 cents.

Your 2 cents adds up! I agree.

I was thinking this same thing. If everyone is picking TN for Warrior there is no suspense. If someone throws in an Auburn for him the whole TN sight has a come apart, and the Auburn peeps start exploding in their jorts. Anything to generate interest in the sight and get people to sign up to see what is 'really' going on.

"And, it will start early as Nigel Warrior is scheduled to announce something in the 8 a.m. hour and that looks like it's going to happen closer to 8 a.m. We continue to feel that Tennessee will be the choice here. While Auburn believes it has some reason for hope, we're told Warrior and his family continues to talk to Tennessee and there seems to be nothing but positive vibes coming from that direction."

I'm so sick of hearing about Auburn. Heard enough to last a lifetime. But at least they aren't getting this one.
