If what I’m now led to believe is true – Warrior will sign with Auburn - I was way off. I didn’t take into account his mother, Tangie Warrior, graduated from Tuskegee University. Nor did I think about the close relationships she’d develop with Auburn’s new coaches, or how a last-minute official visit could change things. I thought I knew. I didn’t. But at least I didn’t assume, and only made an ass out of me."

He knows what he didn't know but now he is not so sure. Lest he knows he's an ass. Says so in last sentence.

I didn't think about how there is an "A" in Warrior, just like there is in Auburn. I didn't think about how Nigel ate Frosted Flakes for breakfast, and surely Tony the Tiger's cool gaze from the cereal box kept bringing his thoughts to the Plains. But most importantly, I didn't think about the eagle on the back of a quarter, and surely Nigel has a couple in his pocket right now. I thought I knew. I didn't.

The more you read posts from certain mods from other teams' boards and the homerism on there, you really appreciate VN and VQ. Hubbs and crew are very good at hiding their bias for the most part. Especially considering how big of a UT fan Hubbs is!
