'16 GA DB Nigel Warrior (UT commit 2/3/16)

Aside from the well discussed OL issues, I think UT lacks dominant safeties and is the other serious gap. I was excited about Kelly's performance this year as a true freshman, but Randolph and McNeil will exhaust their eligibility before UT really gets rolling. I think Warrior is the key. DTs look good, DEs look good, LBs look good, CBs seem to have promise and yet, aside from Kelly, I'm not sure of any player that seems poised to be a dominant, All-SEC player at safety. Warrior may resolve this gap.

Evan Berry and TKjr wouldn't be bad either.

Agreed. I have high hopes for Evan.

Honest assessment. Do you think Evan Berry is the same class of player as Kelly Jr and Warrior?

I'm also pretty excited about Joejuan Williams and Dale Carter's nephew in the '17 class.

Does he still consider the Vols his leader?

He named Tennessee leaders back in June, he since "re-set" his recruitment though.
Tennessee is the only school he has named as a leader.

Most do believe that Tennessee still leads though, and that he is ours to lose.

Look for Butch Jones & Tommy Thigpen to make Nigel a MAJOR priority once this '15 class is wrapped up.

Yeah cause Cortez McDowell and Gaulden are terrible, NOT. We are deep everywhere.

Evan Berry is a safety correct? Safety is still a big need in 2016, of course, but he is playing that position right?

I love the fact that all of these schools have offered Nigel now. It'll make him being a VOL all the sweeter!

Yeah he is, though by the bowl game he was also emergency 4th string RB. Hopefully with all the RBs we're bringing in he'll just be able to focus on safety and KR in 2015 and beyond though.

Athletically he is.

Evan could be a top flight Safety for sure. He just needs to be allowed to focus on the position. You don't find athletes of his caliber at the safety position too often.

I believe TKjr has a spot nailed down till he leaves, that other spot will be a real battle past next year as there are some very talented safeties coming in. The two deep at every position on D is starting to just ooze talent.

Id be curious to hear Breaker elaborate more on his "athletically he is" comment in regards to Berry.

Obviously, that means he believes he can run, jump, etc at the same level as Kelly Jr and Warrior.

Does that mean though that he believes he's not quite there from a technical level, ball skills, etc?

If I recall correctly, he thinks Evan Berry doesn't have the physicality for the position yet.
