It's says a lot about the talent on our team when KMac will be our best DL, Kirkland jr, our best LB and Martin our best corner.

DKJr will be a real problem this year.

He was creating a lot of mayhem late in the season for teams. Add another spring and fall, and a summer in the weight room, you he has a legit shot at All SEC or All American if he stays healthy.

With JRM coming back I think we have the best LB corp in the SEC this year. We do need to develop some depth but I will put our starters up against anyone.

No doubt. the combo of speed, football smarts, and tackling ability is lethal.

I loved watching AJ play a couple of years ago, but he always put himself in positions to let tackles come to him. He read plays well, but then made his tackles at the 3,4,5 yard gain mark.

DKjr and JRM attack. They read, take the right angle, and hit you at the line, and sometimes behind.

They're great blitzers too.

I'm very excited about watching them next year, especially under Shoop's aggressive play-calling.

Expectation: Opportunity at safety, special teams impact

Reasoning: Warrior was one of the most coveted defensive backs in the South and for good reason. He has great speed on the back end and he doesn't shy away from meeting running backs in the hole, meaning he can play against any kind of defense. The opportunity is there at safety with both Brian Randolph and LaDarrell McNeil now gone. While there are plenty of options now at safety, Todd Kelly Jr., Evan Berry, Rashaan Gaulden, Stephen Griffin, Micah Abernathy, Warrior has the skill to be able to battle with anyone at the spot. But, he won't arrive until the summer and all of those mentioned above will have the chance to solidify roles this spring. But, Warrior will be given plenty of chances come August and could help his cause by being a playmaker on special teams, like we've seen others do in the past.

AJ couldn't run like these LBs. The athleticism we have now is just a major upgrade.

Warrior has the chance to be special at UT. All you need to see is the Auburn coaches reaction once they got the bad news...

Micah? Man I was hoping he'd stick at CB. Maybe they are just trying to get the four best secondary guys out there. He has that speed to play and I guess there are more opportunities for game time at safety.

I'd say guys like Abernathy, Gaulden, and Tyler Bryd will get looks at corner, nickel, and safety.

Shoop and Willie M. will find the best place for them.

Our defense is going to be like the freaking Denver Broncos next year. Our Defensive line is going to be ridiculous! Heck our secondary is going to be ridiculous!

Combo players with a lot of athleticism. Allows for a lot of different coverage types and versatile blitzes without being exposed with matchup problems. 😁
