'16 GA DE Chidi Okonya (FORMER UT commit 5/15/15)

If I were Butch Jones, I'd have no problem letting our commits visit other schools. Interest from other schools is a good thing, and resisting visits elsewhere makes us look insecure and selfish. We should be confident in the appeal of our program and always give the impression that we support whatever is in a recruit's best interests. If that means letting them look around at other schools, even while they're still committed to us, then so be it.

I think the message they get is, "You wanna look around? That's fine...we'll just be looking, too. Ummmmkayyy?"

I have no problem looking selfish. I want ALL the top players.

All. Of. Them.

#Vols commit Chidi Okonya (@_itschii) will attend #UGA's Dawg Night camp.

***************

For what? Encouraged?

I wonder if Coach Richt will break out UGAs top of the line mini fridge.

Okinya is 1 of 119 at this event apparently. Over 100 recruits going to be there. That's insane.

119. It's an omen. I think ours ARe orchestrated to be smaller so the coaches can actually spend quality time with the players. I've read that Butch actually stayed up all night at the Orange Carpet to welcome a recruit who got in way late. He's more personal than those flea-ridden mutts down south.

Saw that. They didn't mention his name and it wasn't a Vol writer either. I think it was a fan of some other team that mentioned it. It was apparently a big time 2017 prospect that people think has 1st rd talent. They asked him about his tour of school visits and thought TN was just pit stop compared to Bama and others. The kid and coach told him TN was his best visit because they show so much love and the whole staff greeted him late at night when he drove into Knox. He said other schools sent some random guy or some asst coach but our entire staff with Butch was there.

From the tone of the ajc article, there's nothing to worry about. Said that Pruitt wants him to play OLB. He said he prefers DE.

we have no shot. He's all Dawg...

Just as a head's up and I posted the same thing in the Nigel Warrior thread in response to basically the same type of post....This guy 'JohnD13' is an obvious troll who pretends to be a Vol fan on certain threads. According to this guy we have no shot at anybody even when they are already committed to us. I would suggest putting him on ignore and perhaps he will either find an Ole Miss or Georgia board to join.
