Yeah. My first year of really following UT was Fulmers last year. I can't wait to have the feeling that the older fans remember back in the 90s

I started following TN in 85 and there were only 3 or so bad years during the 23 years I followed the Vols under Majors and Fulmer. The last few years have been tough but I think Butch is close to getting UT football back to what I know.

Yes I hated to see Tony get hurt. I saw ESPN is going to do a 30/30 episode on him.

Back to thread - I think our chances are pretty good for Brown.

That truly requires a capacity for optimism surpassing what 95% percent of VN is able to produce. Especially the young guys, I don't remember the glory days. I started following football about the time Kiffin came in. The time between '98 and Butch is just a pathetic wash of mediocrity and disappointment. But your positivity is a welcome breath of fresh air. Keep it up, Dudi.

My earlies memories are of Eric Ainge at QB.

Unfortunately I have never (since being old enough to remember) seen us beat Florida.

We truly have the best fans. Try and name a college football team who routinely sells out half of their home games during the worst stretch in their history. If opposing fans think we were obnoxious the last couple of years, they have no idea

South Carolina sold out tickets in the year they went winless. What's my prize?

If South Carolina was a back to back 10 win team I see no reason why this team can't either.

It's about to happen.

Edit: that was random and I don't know why I felt compelled to say that. Maybe it's fall practice right around the corner.

Dewey Warren, Ron Widby, Bubba Wyche, Bob Johnson, Paul Naumoff, Richmond Flowers

I actually watched Richmond Flowers play as a Sidney Lanier Poet in historic Crampton Bowl.

Chuck Webb was straight up filthy. He pretty much tied Colorado his self. If he only wouldn't have torn his knee up.

1985 was magical to experience. To see all these "no name" players rise up and play lights out...was truly fantastic to experience as a student...seems like a lifetime ago

Time for these Vols to rise above all opponents. CBJ should have this team watch the entire Sugar Bowl and watch the annihilation of the NC contending hurricanes :)

We moved home to middle Tennessee in the mid-80's and it was awesome to watch UT football in jr. high and high school during the late 80's and early 90's. I didn't leave home for college, so I got to enjoy the games on TV during the rest of the 90's. Attended my first game in late 90's and then moved to Louisville to get my Master's degree and missed a lot of the mid 2000's. Got back on board just in time for Dooley's 26 men on the field fiasco.
