Speaking of Hubbs and suspense: It's a virtual guarantee that both he and Fortenberry will play hot and cold with all of our major targets from now until NSD. It drives clicks to the site.
It was in the Adoree Jackson thread...I think when Butch was doing the in-home visit.
Glitch authored the pizza connect the dots post. I believe some random poster who rarely comments made the tank gif post. He dropped mic and exited the stage for good.
Butch Jones spotted in St.Louis!![]()
Volquest does the best job by far in covering recruiting. I can't believe people pay for Wes Rucker when there is access to Hubbs and company.
Once you've been on VQ thru a cycle or two you can pretty much read into their lingo to draw a good conclusion. Many times, they really don't know and that's when you see the "hot and cold" I think played by staff members. I usually feel like Hubbs and Fort take a more level headed approach while Brice and Lewis chime in with a nugget to get the krootin junkies stirred up.

However, in my many years on there, Brent would never mislead you. You could tell where UT stood based on his words, and frankly, there a few players who no one has a clue about where they are going.
I agree but if he doesn't have a clue then sometimes it's better to just say so. Hubbs does a lot of hemming and hawing and hedges all bets. That gets pretty boring. This is just football recruiting. It doesn't hurt to stick your neck out once in a while with a prediction that could be wrong later. Hubbs is too afraid of being wrong.
A vintage Hubberism:
"I think that Tennessee has put themselves in good position with _ but if he takes his last visit to _ that could change things. I also think _ could still be in play."
Exactly. Tennessee's momentum is good here and Brown has kept everything vanilla regarding all schools but his mom's interview told me we are very much in it..and not so much her words but her tone totally changed when asked about Tennessee and she sounded giddy.
I think Brown is a Vol. I think his mom wants him here also. I think the last OV here says a lot. He told you himself that we stood out & that he only speaks to his parents about where hes going & that if someone else tells you about him they dont know. So others around the SEC doesn't bother me. He went on other visits and then he can come here and clarify any questions he has after making those visits.
Looking at this objectively, we aren't exactly loaded at the position but we have two bonafide young stars at the position. He very well could be more productive than Thing 1 - Thing 2 but I can see him going somewhere he could start sooner.
Well at UGA he would be behind Trenton Thompson at the NT position who is a sophomore. Would you rather be the second guy in the NT spot in a 3-4 or the 3rd guy at the DT spot in a 4-3? Seems like he would get more PT here than UGA.
I did one of those free 3 month things December-February a couple years ago with 247 and soon realized there wasn't much being said that you didn't hear on VN or other free sites.Volquest does the best job by far in covering recruiting.
