I realize that the CB's are often wrong and they often change their pick. But of the 32 CB's on Brown, UT has 0. Not a good sign, at least to me.:hi:

There was a 4* WR that committed to Ole Miss a few days ago that no one had a crystal ball prediction for going to Ole Miss.

With kids like Brown who are tight lipped, these guys are totally guessing.

Lots of whining on here way prematurely. Man, it is not signing day yet. Take it from somebody that has seen many of them, things are not in stone. Watch our bull run on signing day, once again Jones and staff will get it done and everybody on here will act like they knew it all along. We may not hit every player, but we will sign a great class and we are headed towards championships. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!

Hubbs just said right now AU is front runner

Unless it came from Brown or his mom it's a guess.

I bet Hubbs got that from somebody at Auburn who is either guessing or wishfully thinking.

Everything about this kids recruitment says we're his favorite. From that tweet yesterday about being excited to visit, to his mom specifically scheduling UT as the final visit, to how glowingly he's spoken about UT anytime he was questioned by the media.

I think he's ours to lose. Coach Shoop needs to close this.

I bet Hubbs got that from somebody at Auburn who is simply guessing based on how the visit went.

Best post I've ever read from you. That's exactly what DB and his Mom said a week ago.

Absolutely blows my mind that Auburn is still in the running for all these highly touted recruits considering they've sucked this year. Tenneseee would beat Auburn right now by at least 2 or 3 touchdowns. Not to mention their coach is on the verge of being on the hot seat. Yea, Auburn is such a great place to play football right now. Lol

You can't ignore the Rodney Garner factor.

I agree I mean what the hell is a Auburn.I can understand a UT or UA or UGA but really what is a Auburn. To me it's a school in a cow field surrounded by trailor parks and the inbreds that live in them.I just don't understand the allure to the place at all.I mean unless you like smoking synthetic marajuana or getting paid large sums of cash to play.I just don't get it at all.

Amen. I don't get it either. Why in the Hell would an 18 year old man want to spend his college years in no where's ville. I can understand the allure that California and Florida has (Bikini Clad Babes) but Auburn :crazy::crazy: Unless he is thinking about the priesthood :eek:lol:

“I just love Tennessee, man,” Brown said. “I just love being up there in that environment itself. But when you just sit down and actually talk football, that’s good as well.”
"The school’s been great to me,” Brown said. “I’ve been able to go there and see a game, and I’ve been able to just hang around. Now I just kind of want to go see Knoxville.”
He said his “whole family” will be making the trip to Tennessee with him, and the Vols’ staff already has impressed his parents.

“My parents definitely keep up with them,” Brown said. “They don't want to show favoritism, because they want to help me make the best decision for me. But, I mean, they definitely like Tennessee and this coaching staff, for sure.”

Feels a little like Carl Lawson's recruitment. Hope we land him though. We should be a more attractive place now though

Except for Brown never committed to Auburn and we get the last visit instead of them. And we were on our 4th coaching staff in 6 years coming off a 5-7 record. Other than those factors, it is exactly the same.

Only difference is that Lawson was already committed to Auburn for a long time. We pretty much all knew that it would be a tough pull for Butch at the last minute. Brown keeps it close to the vest better than anyone I've seen and everytime someone mentions Tennessee to him, he lights up. His mom scheduling us for the last visit tells me all I need to know. No one knows for sure where he's going including the experts. It's all a big guess right now.

That screams Vol! If the coaches didn't feel good here, we would have ramped up our recruitment of HS DTs. No way the coaches would ever go a cycle without signing at least one.

Per the kid, only listen to he and his mom. Kid likes GA, Aub, and TN. Per his mom, kid likes Rodney Garner. But as of last week they were evaluating all the new DC's. Unless something has changed, she spp said not to read in to TN getting the last visit. She said it was the only time she could work it out with her job. So, unless things have changed. They are still keeping it close to the vest. Per the kid, when hes done with his visits he'll put everything on the table and make his decision. Again, correct me if im wrong. Someone linked an audio recording a few pages back that was most informative thing to date on Brown recruitment. It was heavily Auburn and GA bc of the line of questioning... But, just judging off of tone, what little she gives away. one has to think Auburn leads. Then again, this has been one of the more difficult recruitments to get any information about in a while...so, iyam Tennessee has just as good a shot as anyome.

True... Why is it we always lose in recruiting battles to Auburn lol? Hopefully Shoop closes the deal

Who is this guy? Bud Elliot of SB Nation actually says:

"The country's No. 4 overall prospect told SB Nation this spring that Georgia was his leader, and I am hard-pressed to even think of which team should be No. 2.

Brown going anywhere other than UGA would be a surprise, though Auburn is trying hard. Georgia seems on track to keep a large majority of the state's top prospects home."

Do not, I repeat, do not shoot the messenger.
