At receiver, there still seems to be a plethora of targets ( as explained in our recruiting checklist Thursday). One name we continue to hear that Tennessee is in good shape with is Marquez Callaway as the Vols battle with Georgia and Auburn there. Notre Dame is in the mix as well.

Callaway would be a huge pickup. He's been at the top of my WR wish list with Davis and Hardman for a long time. Great speed and quickness.

his first look at the vols came almost a year ago, when he attended their home game against florida, and he didn’t return there until he decided to make the trip with his parents june 12 to take a closer look at tennessee and participate in a portion of its camp. He and his family clearly came away impressed, and the vols quietly have been one of the favorites to land him since then.
There’s currently no set timeframe for callaway to announce his decision. But if he follows through on his plan to end his recruitment in the coming weeks, sources have indicated that tennessee likely would be the choice.

It would be an important pickup for the vols, to say the least, that would bring them one step closer to filling their needs at wide receiver.

Kipp Adams is pretty well-connected in Georgia recruiting. If he is conceding, I'm listening.

would love a 6'2" corner, if he really is 6'2", since all these guys come in and get officially measured and lose a couple inches in height...

I reckon he's been high on our board from the start. He's got the size and athleticism that our coaches are looking for in DBs but he's also got the skills and speed to be a stud receiver. Love his versatility.

So if we see him as a reciever and he picks us where does that leave us with Mecole and Davis. I would like to sign them all but that would give us 5 recievers in this class.

You drop someone currently committed if those two want to be Vols

Quality > Quantity

or you're Butch Jones and you just make it work.

He may be an upgrade over Henderson. According to one of the insiders on here (can't remember which one), but they said Henderson has grade concerns... So my guess is that we end with:
Kyle Davis
Mecole Hardman
Marquez Callaway
Jeff George

I think Corey Henderson will be given the Marques Ford treatment in that case. George, Callaway, Davis, and Hardman, and potentially Marshall, depending on his position, is an elite and diverse group at WR.

Butch spoils us. This is a great problem to have. In this scenario, TD Marshall slides to CB, pairing with Marquill Osborne, and Joejuan Williams & Nigel Warrior as Safeties. SO MANY BRICKS!!!

Does anyone think this could be a bad sign? For example, Davis or Hardmen has silently committed to UGA and Callaway was told to scat by them?
