'16 GA WR/DB Marquez Callaway (UT commit 1/21/2016)

Does anyone think this could be a bad sign? For example, Davis or Hardmen has silently committed to UGA and Callaway was told to scat by them?

Callaway is rated among the top 110 players in the country regardless of position and among the top 10 athletes. No, I don't think leading for him is a bad sign.

Come on man, don't misrepresent what I am saying. That's pretty uncharitable of you. I'm just saying it could mean we have been given a firm "no thanks" from Davis or Hardman. Obviously, all three of them onboard with us would be ideal, but that probably will not happen.

Well, when you take something that is seemingly positive and turn it into something negative, then what, exactly should we think? Just because we lead for Callaway should not automatically mean that we are out of it for anyone else.

Completely unrelated, but when I see your name on a post I immediately think of Byron Devinner...which makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

I have preferences! So what? I have watched a little film on Hudl. I would prefer that Callaway not replace Davis. If we get Callaway, awesome, but I would rather not get him at the expense of losing Davis or Hardman. Idealism is a beautiful thing, but let's be realistic here. Too many "insiders" have a lot of people pumping sunshine and I am not buying it.

Guys we would take all three. We are taking at least 4 wrs this class. We lead for davis and have pulled back up for hardman.

Fair enough. I still don't think it's a bad sign in any way.

Callaway has more upside than KD if he would just focus on FB.

Have to disagree with you here. KD is built just like Da'Rick was when he came in. If DR could have let go of all of the off-field issues he had than he would have easily been another 1st rd WR drafted from the university of Tennessee.

Now by no means am I saying KD is destined to be a 1st rd draft pick just on sheer size, but that is something you can't teach and he already has it. I believe he has a good head on his shoulders and with a great WR coach like Azzani I feel his upside is limitless.

Callaway if adds on the weight can definitely have the size desired from the WR position.

KD is a hoss, Callaway is a stud also. Right now we have two commits from guys that might play WR, but Marshall may also end up at DB- and Henderson still has academic work to do. You could very well see us taking 3 more WR even if we held on to them and George.

With Jennings progressing like he has, who knows if that changes the dynamics on how many we try to sign.
