'16 GA WR/DB Marquez Callaway (UT commit 1/21/2016)

When is the last time we actually used our big WRs like big WRs? Our guys should eat in the redzone with that size. Instead we try and pound everyone. The fade routes from 10 and in would solve a lot of redzone woes. IMO

Dobbs is going to have to learn to throw the fade (consistently) before we can throw the fade...

Yeah. You would think we would throw more jump balls and fades.

Here's the thing... none of them could fight off tight coverage consistently. Never any separation.

Azzani doesn't/hasn't coached them to be play-makers.

As far as Callaway... his future is best served outside the hash... locking down his side of the field.
He get's one year of tutoring under Sutton and then gets to compete with the likes of Martin and Osborne.

He needs to be starting at WR

I've been dogging CZA, so gotta give credit where credit's due. Big pull by him.

He has never had an issue recruiting until this yr because of WR production. IMO staff fell in love with this big WRs and forgot who really fits their system is guys like Callaway that you get them. The ball quick and let them work

Tennessee recruited a dozen or so receivers over the last year. Callaway was one of numerous recruits in Knoxville in October to see the Vols overcome a 24-3 deficit against Georgia. From that visit, Callaway's interest in the Vols grew. Callaway visited the weekend of January 15th. He was supposed to visit Mississippi State and Ole Miss the last weekend, but following his visit to Knoxville, Callaway ended his recruitment as the Vols passed on Benjamin Victor for Callaway, who stood out at the Army All-American Bowl where practiced at both defensive back and receiver. The 6-foot-2 receiver has great speed and shows a great ability to go get the ball in the air.

I could see this kid ending up as the third best players in this class. I think Byrd and Kongbo have the top 2 spots locker up.

I work here in Warner Robins. Speaking with several locals who follow high school football they say this kid is by far the best athlete in the area. This area produces quite a few D1 recruits every year. So that's saying something. Glad to see this kid in Orange.

He looks and sounds like a really good kid:

All dressed up, Marquez Callaway was excited.

He sat at a table in the Warner Robins cafeteria surrounded by family and in front of dozens of teammates, classmates, coaches and friends.

And just smiled, soaking it all in. He almost forgot the point of the gathering, to sign a letter.
