'16 JUCO CB Desmond Henderson (UT commit 9/17/15)

How do you know he doesn't? The only info we have in his 40 is a laser time he put up in high school while competition for a spot at the opening.

He has gained, almost what 20 pounds since his HS days? There is no way that he runs a 4.4. Chubb and Fournette are both faster, you can tell that just by watching them. I would say Hurd is somewhere between 4.5-4.7. For a 6'3 240lb RB, thats impressive.

That time was never confirmed. It was more of a rumor than anything. It's pretty obvious watching Hurd run that he doesn't run a sub 4.4 forty yard dash.

Claiming he does is both ignorant and stupid.

You sound upset. Why do you care?

Well, Henry better be more ready for the NFL since he has an extra year in a college S&C program.

In all honesty, not being biased, but I really would rather have Hurd.

Has nothing to do with the extra yr. His true freshman yr do you remember the performance in the bowl game when Bama couldn't do anything else. He put them back in the game off the bench and was their mvp of that game. We'll see the match up real soon as the 3rd wknd in October will be here before we know it. Both defensive units will likely go 9 in the box as both teams passing games are lethargic to say the least.

He had one good game as a freshman. One good game as a Soph. The regular season he was not impressive. Yeldon was hurt all year. Gurley left for Georgia and Chubb dominated. Yeldon got hurt and Henry didn't dominate at all. Had 90 more yards with a much better O-line. Stop riding that garbage back. He's a 250lb scat back.

Hyperbole is a pet peeve of mine. Certain posters among us christen every my above average player we have "elite" and then throw hissy fits when their performance doesn't live up to their daydreams.

It's annoying to me and it makes our fanbase look like mouth breathers.

I think he's as fast as Fournette and a little slower than Chubb.

Chubb - 4.40
Hurd - 4.45
Fournette - 4.45

That would be my guess on what they run at the combine.

Maybe.....maybe not. Just wondering why you so mad?

I think Hurd is a 4 45 guy. We'll find out whose right in 2017.

Our fanbase is quoting Rick Neuheisel.

Odd that you apply that mindset with Hurd. He's knocking it out of the park! If some people believe our star ran a 4.3 in high school, who gets annoyed by that?

Gaining weight and getting stronger doesn't necessarily mean losing speed. Especially with a lanky build.

They aren't.

Chubb is a 4.5 guy (maybe a shade under). Fournette and Hurd are 4.55 guys. Hurd ran a 4.39 when he weighed 215. Now at 240, there's a zero % chance he still does.

Fournette actually ran a slightly faster 100m than Chubb (10.68 and 10.69) at nearly identical weights as HS SRs. Both are faster than Hurd. All are really fast though.

Guys I highly doubt either of these guys are as fast as Leonard or Cook @ FSU. Leonard is in a league of his own and was a serious track guy in high school too. Outside of Cook ,Yearby (Miami ), and Chubb neither of the other rbs in that class are track guys. Last the 4.3 Hurd ran was a stop watch time. Thise carry very little weight due to the fact ppl cheat on the start and stop of the stop watch, especially trainers trying to hype a kid up. Leonard and Chubb are Elite the rest are just good backs

I agree with d1 here. Leo is very fast. Much faster than Chubb/Hurd who are fast, but not elite NFL fast. Leo should run under a 4.45, maybe under a 4.4 approaching a 4.3.

Mad? Nah, more like exasperated by ignorance.

You claimed he's a 4.3 guy then backpedaled when you were called out on it. Maybe you just don't understand how fast a 4.3 really is. The NFL combine maybe has 6 or 7 guys run a sub 4.4 in a year. Very few players Hurd's size have ever put up those types of numbers.

FTR, I think Hurd is in the 4.5-4.6 range. But he has good quickness and will impress at the other drills as well IMO. You're right, we'll see in 2017.

I would be surprised if any of them are true. 4.4 guys

So, you don't think Hurd is an elite back? You don't have to have elite speed to be an elite back.

Hurd was beating Florida to the corner Saturday. He doesn't get near the level of blocking any other top tier back gets. I think Fournette is the best in the country but Chubb will have his test tomorrow. Hurd has run for 100+ versus Oklahoma and Florida. Chubb hasn't run over anyone worth anything this year. Also head to head Hurd out produced Chubb last year.
