'16 JUCO WR Jeff George (UT commit 6/6/15)

The three-star redshirt sophomore wide receiver from Dodge City (Kan.) Community College, who has been committed to Tennessee for almost six months, said Sunday that he feels he “made the right decision, definitely,” and he’s even more excited about his future with the Vols following his weekend stay in Knoxville.

“I feel like I made the right decision, definitely,” he said. “I like the coaches (at Tennessee) a lot. I have a real, genuine connection between all of us. I really enjoy that a lot. And I feel like they’re definitely coming up, and I think we’re going to be in contention next year for an SEC championship and all that.”

“I feel real good about it. … The more we did that, I could just see myself coming in ready to play.”

“I don’t think I’ll visit any more schools,” he said. “I don’t have any plans. I haven’t been talking to any schools. I’m probably not going to mess with (Auburn). They don’t mess with me that much.”

Looks solid, hope we use his height for something other than having a larger target for bubble screens.

I'm really fighting the..meh..here. If he can consistently catch the ball, it will be a big improvement. We have way too many drops. Welcome to the Vol family Mr.George...please do good things.

He runs surprisingly well for someone who is so tall and lanky. Kinda expected him to go down on first contact because his legs are so long

He gets separation from the DBs and often finds the open areas in zone coversge.

Good hands and speed. Very shifty at the LOS to get open against press coverage and those aggressive DBs.

Reminds me of Plaxico Burress.

I think this kid will do what we were expecting North and Groom to do. Be a good 3rd down and red zone receiver.

If he's as fast as they say, run him down field and throw deep balls to him

It shouldn't matter how fast he is...when he is 6 to 8 inches taller than the defender, you simply throw deep balls to him...But he better be more worried about keeping those long legs in bounds on bubble screens...because that's the only kinda pass he'll ever see!

Wow, I just watched his highlights and he didn't drop a single pass!

Not a burner at all.

My hope for George is that he can be a dominant blocker on the edge and a situational receiving threat. I want him to essentially go post up small corners in the redzone. I don't think Dobbs would try that throw, but Dormady or Guarantano might when they take over. We'll see.
