'16 JUCO WR Jeff George (UT commit 6/6/15)

Gus Malzahn is a prime example of how one player can make or break a coach. Without a better than average QB running his offense, he often sputters.

Seems to be the case with these offenses. If you don't have a run threat at QB it's very predictable and easy to defend

No question. The read option is almost useless without a good QB.

I honestly don't see Dormady being THAT effective in this same offense because he can't run that well.

Tennessee coaches were a bit taken aback when one of their most coveted prospects took an impromptu official visit to another SEC team last weekend.

“They were worried when they found out because I didn’t tell them before I left,” the Tennessee receiver commitment told SEC Country. “After I told them what it was all about, they weren’t worried and they said “Have fun.”

So why did Jeff George, a three-star receiver prospect from Dodge City Community College (Dodge City, Kansas), decide to take an official visit to Auburn last weekend?

“Just to see some other places and to get out of Dodge City,” said George, who committed to Tennessee in June. “It was cool. It was a cool experience to look around a little bit to see what everybody else has to offer.”

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that Dormady doesn't have the escapability, elusiveness or just overall running ability that Dobbs has. But his arm strength and accuracy make me wonder if he can make up for that through the air.

Its funny. I dont see Dormady, Johnson or Lawrence being like Dobbs or JG. FTR, I know Lawrence isnt committed but just extrapolating if we get him. Seems like Butch has recruited a mix of pro style and DT QBs.

From the tape I have seen, all these guys are much better passers than Hobbs and they seem to not fumble very often.

Hobbs, you know that there legendary qb, Josh Hobbs. That dem der boy is dem near stoppable! #BewareOfTheHobbs

You really have to a$k that?

His excuse for not telling the coaches does not make sense for that very reason. If he just wanted a fun place to visit to get out of Dodge, Auburn would not be it. Now if he went to Hawaii, I could understand or even San diego St that would be fine.

I was just trying to make a funny.

I have had the "pleasure" of being in Dodge city a few times. I completely understand him wanting to get out. I don't believe his excuse but if I had to to spend an extended period of time there then I would want out too. And Auburn probably looked like the Trump plaza compared to where he has been living. Hopefully he will test the water and still come to TN. Its a big decision for these kids. And he probably wants to make sure he is making the right decisions. Like I said anything is going to look better than Dodge City, KS so if he has doubts then I say let him clear them up now.

If he just wanted to get out of Dodge, why not go to Miami or one of the California schools? Austin or Athens? I call BS. Auburn Alabama sucks.

Well he had to visit someone who had offered him. AZ State offered him so that should've been his choice. Otherwise it was Auburn, Hattiesburg, Jonesboro, Ames, Lawrence, Starkville or Cincy. Not exactly the who's who of destinations.

Yeah..I didn't even look at where he was offered. ASU over Barn any day and twice on Sunday though....Ill say it again..Auburn Alabammer SUCKS! Starkville is probably the only SEC town that is worse.

I agree I went to Athens this weekend ( brother is getting his phd down there) had a blast. Creature comfort brewery,Terrapin brewery, and all the other cool little bars it was awesome. Us I got to talk crap to all the Georgia fans so that was nice.

Don't be making fun of Dodge City. What kind of town would have been without Matt Dillon, Festus, Miss Kitty, Chester, and of course Doc. They laid their lives out there every night. And don't forget Newby which I think was Matt and Miss Kitty's son. But stay tuned DNA is being sought.
