Isn't Kirk and Calloway better with the ball in their hands than PW though?

Yup. But different players. PW will be good over time, but I think some of the comps/hype he got on here were a little much.

PW is really just a different type of receiver. When you need to throw a ball up or need a big target in the redzone you go to him.

On the other side you have a smaller quicker and usually better with in the open field like Kirk and Calloway.

It's good to have some of both

You're expecting a juco dude to just overtake a talent like Phillips and a player of Vereen's caliber. Going to be hard to say the least.

I don't see Christmas-Giles passing O'Brien and Picou. He needs a redshirt.

They also have 4.4 speed. Something we lack at WR. Its the reason we need Mecole Hardman and Velus Jones so badly. Speed kills and we don't have SEC caliber speed at WR.

That speed won't help Dobbs accuracy.

If more speed allows for more separation (which isn't always the case) then it can increase the margin for error.

No doubt in my mind if he stays healthy. Next year he, Malone(got to feed him early and get him going in games)and a healthy North(crosses fingers) should be nasty. Croom and Smith will be great experienced quality targets.

Now D4H is going to blame WRs for Dobbs sucking so bad throwing the ball. I have seen WRs open on every freaking play when I watch tape.

If you seriously believe our WRs have gotten open in every game this year, then you're watching something very different than the actual game tape.

Have they gotten open and Dobbs missed them? Yes. Have they dropped passes they should have caught? Yes. Have they consistently gotten open against every team we have played? Absolutely not.
