'16 KS DT Alexis Johnson (UT commit 6/16/15)

Do you not think he has that potential on offense? I'm not disagreeing, just curious.

He's a monster safety waiting to happen. That range and hitting at FS will give QBs headaches. Pair that with Martin and Sutton plus a ball hawking TKjr. And Gaulden, Berry, or Foreman at the nickel. Offenses will catch hell because Barnett and crew will be on your azz if it's a passing situation. Man it's about to get crazy in a good way. 😁😁😁😁

I would really like to see Berry on offense. I've not given up on him on defense, but he is just so explosive with the ball in his hands. He could be deadly in the slot.

So does Griffin. I actually think Jennings and Griffin could be our best safeties. TK has great instincts but isn't an athlete of Griffin or Jennings caliber.

What makes you think TK isn't a great athlete for the safety position? He's clearly above average and has had some big hits this year. His range at safety is great. You just like putting unproven guys everywhere I see. Especially when TKjr would start for 90% of the SEC right now.

I like TK alot. In fact I advocated for him to start ahead of McNeil this year. I also expect him to start the next 2 years. He just isn't the level of athlete that Griffin or Jennings are. That doesn't mean I'm saying TK should be benched. I'm just saying the other 2 have higher ceilings. TK's instincts still make him our best safety.

For now. :)

Skills, instincts, smarts, and flat out talent. Boy is a flat out baller.

Don't you think a 300 lb athlete typically has larger bones, ligaments, etc vs a 150 lb athlete allowing the heavier athlete to support a greater body weight?

To an extent, but the forces involved can mean a much slower process for the bigger athlete.

Berry is best running with a full head of steam, and has great vision. On offense, that screams running back, when that hole opens up. As the line currently is, he may not be as effective

Hurd has gotten 1,000 yards from somewhere. We've gotten 2,300 yards from somewhere. Berry would be fine. And some of Hurd's runs would be housed.

Dobbs has 500+

Jalen gets yards that most running backs couldn't/wouldn't.

He manufactures yards no doubt but he also will rush the play which doesn't allow the play to develop. Ever wonder why Kamara looks to have better blocking? He runs the plays at the tempo they are designed for.
