Are we watching the same tape? I saw the exact opposite thing you did. Johnson obviously doesn't have the strength to just bull rush into the backfield like Khalil McKenzie, but I think his lateral quickness and hand technique are outstanding. DTs don't benefit from blown protection assignments like other blitzers, so if it looks like Johnson's getting to the QB untouched there's a reason. I also echo the comment others have made about his gap discipline. This guy looks like a smart player.

There's a reason his offer list is so impressive.

Yep, great hands for a HS kid and seems to diagnose plays well.

Man this is great to get over with early. Glad he held strong and told Bama to roll their tide elsewhere. This is huge with Owen Williams graduating and Tuttle coming off a bad injury.
