'16 LA DT D'Andre Christmas-Giles - (Former UT Commit 8/29/15)

For instance...I notice you haven't been over to the Johnson thread to acknowledge the good job there. I suppose you are going to say he doesn't matter since he is a juco, therefore he isn't as important. All you do is gripe.

Read my next post in this thread where I said there was no shame in losing a Louisiana kid to LSU.

My comment was a general comment I made based on your post. Do you see me losing my head about any of the other decommittments in their threads?

You're right I went back and read your post. It wasn't as bad as I thought. Like I said earlier, the unrelenting negativism of the week got to me. I suppose I projected my aggravation onto you since we have disagreed a lot, and I felt like your post was a unnecessary negative shot. It is harder (but not impossibly hard) and takes more work to recruit to UT. Since you are such a "realist" it seems you would acknowledge that fact. Losing DCG sucks, but I understand it. It through no fault of the coaches however, heck they did all they could to make this happen. Thus is my last word on this to you, and once again I apologize.

Just win! That will stop all negativity, whining, and griping in here...well, for the most part. :)

By that rationale we should have about 30% less griping since we won 8 games...I do not think that is the case.

That is what that said about Santos...but they were wrong. His career was forgettable.

I remember thinking we were missing out on two big time LBs when Santos and Otha Peters flipped in the last week or so. Your right we didn't miss out on much at all. That goes to show, that you can't buy into all the hype and rankings on players.

Santos would gave been better served to come here. The Big Spread conference was no place for his talent. He screwed himself. I think Jancek would have used him better. I honestly don't know what happened to Otha"whitegurled" Peters.

Anybody know anything about Peters? Kid had talent, I thought he would do pretty good at Arky. Maybe he just didn't apply himself?

Missing out on Peters and Santos wasn't as bad as I thought it would be in our 2012 class. We ended up taking a lower ranked Kenny Bynum after signing day, just to fill the spot in that class, and Bynum ended up being just as good or maybe a little better than those two IMO.

Per Hubbs

As for Christmas-Giles, once LSU offered a decommitment seemed imminent. From several close to him, the two game-changing offers for him all along had been LSU and Alabama and the Tigers pulled the trigger first.

And while we're not saying it's a done deal to LSU, Texas apparently really helped themselves this past weekend while he visited, it's hard not to see the Tigers getting one out of New Orleans that they really wanted.

Whichever coach has LA in their recruiting area, I'm sorry you got screwed. We should just stay out of that state.
