'16 LA DT D'Andre Christmas-Giles - (Former UT Commit 8/29/15)

It's tough to pull a kid out of Louisiana when LSU wants him especially when he holds no loyalty for the school that believed in him first and was with him far and away the longest. This guys offer list was ridiculous in August. There is nothing we could have done here. It looks like Brown or bust at this point.

Not speaking about one recruit in general. No shame in losing a Louisiana kid to LSU.

Yeah I think they have proven they know the value of DTs smartaleck. You're retarded if you think it is as easy to recruit great classes here every year, as it is to others. They still got Johnson. You're pathetic crusade to undermine anything positive is old.

Okay.

I apologize that was a little over the top, but jeez man do you have to be such a hard case all the time? You used to be a cool middle of the road guy, now it's like you are just completely negative..all the time.

If I was recruiting a kid out of Louisiana and they wanted to commit and didn't hold an LSU offer I would tell the kid "We want you and we'd love to have your verbal but if you're going to jump ship the min you get an offer from LSU (or any program for that matter) just don't commit. When you're ready to really commit, give us a call.

I bet the kid would just be like, "naww coach, if LSU hasn't offered by now, I don't want them." Then bail the moment that offer comes in.

-1 for using retarded to insult someone. Always in really poor taste.

You're probably right but then you know you were dealing with a questionable character kid. He'd have to look you in the eye and know he lied through his teeth.

I'm not gonna hate too much. If LSU had a kid from Knoxville committed for awhile and then we offered at the 12th hour, we'd probably all expect him to switch too. Just the way it is.

I'd tell the coach I commited to that I
I'm commited until I get a Vols offer. I'd walk on at UT over a scholly if I was rich. And RS so I could be on the team an extra year. So I get it.

Maybe he did tell our coaches he'd dip at an LSU offer and we decided to take the commit hoping it wouldn't come.

Doubt it though.

Didn't use the correct form of "their" Butch probably thought he would hurt our APR. He found out this year you can get a bowl game at 5-7 with a high enough APR so he is hedging his bets.

#wellactually, he should have said, "its," instead of "there," or "their." But that's neither here nor ...
Never mind.

Tough to hang on to a kid from LA once the LSU offer comes in.
