'16 MS CB Nigel Knott

Also, for whatever it's worth, Nigel Knott communicated with some Tennessee coaches Wednesday. He's already used two visits and has one scheduled for Alabama this weekend. Obviously, a stretch to think anything comes of it, but this is silly season.

Yeah @gotfootball3 I do have to say.. The orange does swarm..🔶⚪️🔶

Him tweeting at Marquill Osborne

I guess him talking to the coaches tonight has him thinking about UT a little bit...if only we could get him on campus for an OV

He's trolling the biggest, baddest, Twitter fan base on the planet because he knows in two weeks nobody will be kissing his arse anymore.

I'm with the poster above... "Where you been?"

Someone should tweet him saying:

"The Big Orange Train is Full. You too late Bra."

I wouldn't discourage this young man from coming. Maybe it is a longshot, but maybe he's just checking out his options. If he wanted to play for UT, I'd take him in a heartbeat. He can straight up ball. Maybe the coaches can arrange a visit.

He's not coming here, he just wants attention...

...right?

I'm assuming this is just for signing day drama as well. But, I leave that up to the staff to decide. I'm sure if there is any legitimacy to this then there will begin to be a little more smoke around it from the insiders and pay sites. Would be awesome, and for once it would be someone actually "shocking the world"

It was my impression that our recruitment for Knott cooled, due to lack of interest on his part.
He is a talented athlete and would and great addition to any program. I suspect if he indeed wanted to truly "shock the world"as the previous poster noted, he would indeed be quite the buzz in the media, and he would be a take.

Strange.

Usually with this kind of out-of-left-field news there's a lot more noise from the "if we get them on campus, we have a chance" and "Butch is the best closer in the country" crowd.

Because it's not 'news'. It's twitter chum from someone who hasn't shown any interest in us for months. If he wants to visit before making a decision that's another thing. Nothing like that right now.

I love the fact that Osborne is absolutely not afraid of competition. This is the second CB he's aggressively helped us recruit (Lavert Hill is the other I'm thinking of) who is higher rated than him by the services, and I haven't seen him going after players at other positions that way. He just seems to want the challenge of competing against the best.

I would have to see more smoke than a random tweet to give me more hope in something like that. Plus, there's more legit smoke elsewhere for DB's to where this might shake out as a uuuuge DB class.

If he sets up an OV, I'll take it seriously. That's exactly how it went down with Byrd and I think partly why everyone is so excited.
