'16 NC OG Landon Dickerson

I think he's referring to the fact that 247 has Auburn, Florida, and Virginia Tech listed as 'hot' while everyone else is listed as 'warm' or 'cool'. Which is not really indicative of his actual top teams. I'm not sure that he's actually come out and said what his top teams are, other than listing his official visits.

:good!:

The ole no center strategy huh?

Well, I've seen people on here taking about him possibly playing center, and it's all about getting the best 5 out there. If the coaches feel like he can do it, and if he could make the transition quickly I say it's a pretty easy decision.

And yes Thomas has played well at Center so probably won't happen lol

Dickerson is a guard imo.

Seeing how well Coleman Thomas moves laterally, I can't imagine Robertson providing any quality at Center unless we go with a different run concept.

Me too, was talking about Robertson.

O definetly dont see that. I think we see thomas robertson richmond jones and hall next year. Dickerson would be a lg when robertson graduates or if he gets injured. We really have a ton of options at guard its lt im worried about. Not because i dont like richmond just because we need depth.

Even if landon commits the Vols still need Tatum in this class.the numbers thing sux but there are upper class men that will never get playing time that can be told we need your scholership.

I agree with this completely. LT is the missing piece. Hopefully Richmond can be a star and hold that position down for the next 3-4 years, but we need depth there. I know Hall was practicing some at LT earlier in the year. Maybe he's an option there, but I suspect he's a better fit at RT or guard. Same for Kendrick. If, for any reason, Richmond doesn't pan out at LT, we're back to a Kerbyson-type situation where we have play someone out of position IMO.

Edit: I don't mean that as shot at Kerbyson. He's worked hard and made significant improvement.

Our LT needs long arms and lateral quickness to handle the speed rushers in this league

Next year I think we see this:
LT: Drew Richmond(RS Freshman)
LG: Jack Jones(sophomore)
C: Coleman Thomas(junior)
RG: Jashon Robertson(junior)
LT: Chance Hall(sophomore)

That's an O-line with good size and athleicism, and on top of that a decent amount of experience. The only new guy starting we'd have would be Richmond, but if he's as good as he's supposed to be then he'll be a solid tackle. That's a good O-line, and that's an O-line that'll be good for 2 years with the same guys. Continuity is big on the O-line too.

I'd rather have Robertson at RG so he can help out Richmond his first couple of games getting into the groove of things as a starter. Other than that, I think that is a line that will take us from being below average to good.

The three year progression would be:
B.O.A.T Atrocious-->Below Average-->Good

Going to have some growing pains with Richmond, no matter how good he is, but his ceiling is so much higher than Kerby. No offense to KK, but adequate and solid seem to be his ceiling.

I think Jashon stays on the left side and Jones roosts at RG...also would flip Hall and Richmond (since the coaches already did)

Edit: You got :victory: LT's on there playa!

Haha meant RT, but yeah I could definitely see what you're saying.

If you look at this potential OL vs the begining 2015 line.. It would be viewed of of a more powerful/run blocking line
