'16 NC QB Austin Kendall (former UT commit)

Not the end of the world ,but the kid has skills ,so I can't say we didn't want him anyway. It could suck for him to have to face our defense in three years !

dobbs will be a junior and is probably there starting until he leaves senior year. There's already one or two qbs on the team that will have a couple years in the program over kendall. Uk has towles, who is solidly our starter for the next two years. We'll have barker, who was nearly top 100 in his class, who will have been in the program for 3 years. And a guy named reese phillips who isn't all that bad.

So yes, continue to laugh and be ignorant

50-16

You are blinded by the fact that Towles is some sort of "special," while he is truly average. He's definitely not as good as you guys make him up to be, and he (and your whole team, actually) were a joke last November 15th. Drew Barker has yet to do anything, and he also 2 classes ahead of Kendall. Who the hell is Reese Phillips? Is that a basketball manager who walked on the team to play football? Kendall knows the easy way out is at Kentucky. Everyone knows that except you. We just signed three 4* quarterbacks. All who are one class older than AK. One will be 2nd this year, other two could redshirt. We also are in on two other Top 250 qbs.

You keep telling yourself that you guys have competition at quarterback, and I will continue to laugh while we sign another (or possibly two) quarterback.

Towles, off raw talent, is probably one of the better QBs in the East. For not having much of an OLine, not being terrible mobile, he was pretty good last year. Got a little banged up, but he kept us in a couple games we shouldnt have been in. The game vs UT changed a lot of opinions about UK I guess. We hung in with MSU, UF, Mizzou, and UL. But then the complete opposite with LSU, UGA, and UT.

You're wearing really orange glasses if you dont think Towles is good. Is he a dark horse contender for Heisman like Dobbs? Hell no.

I already said the talent is the point here. But people say he's leaving because he wants to go start somewhere faster, and I just don't see it here. I've heard nothing about UK only taking one Qb. Maybe we are if he would commit. But odds are if he came to UK he's behind Towles and Barker for 2 years. At UT he faces the same issue.

Looks like we temporarily lost a good one per 247... Hope DeBord didn't have anything to do with this...

Appears to me it's pretty clearcut why he decommited....we just brought in 3 QBs the class before him. Too crowded. Throw in his brother at Ky and perhaps that sealed the deal. Curious to see if he ends up in Lexington.

They're loaded at QB. :)

Haven't heard much of the UF interest, but that wouldn't be a bad place for him to go at all.

Come on Butchna, you know me. I'm not saying UK has Brady and Manning lined up ahead of any future recruits, but we definitely have a couple that probably stand a much better chance for starting for next few years. We were lucky we got two instate four stars otherwise we'd probably be still dealing with Smith/Whitlow or something similar.

AU? can the kid run? He is gonna end up at UK and get rocked his whole career. Stoops will be feeling some heat when they are terrible again this year.

Lol. Classic RF.

If I had to guess Auburn might have intrigued him a bit. I just don't think we made much of a dent in the recruitment when he visited. I just find it hard to believe he'd leave UT for "competition" because he faces the same thing at UK.

Lol competition at uk.

Wouldn't say 5-7 was terrible considering what we were "supposed to do". Beating a dead horse with the same line over and over, but change a few plays and we're 7-5. Do the same and UT doesn't make a bowl game. Or maybe they win 8. Tiny plays make a big difference. Bottom line is we didn't show up to a few games. Very Jekyll/Hyde throughout the season.

I do think we jumped the gun on giving Stoops and Co. a raise, but he's doing fine so far.

And change a few more and we win a few more. Point?

I said "Or maybe they win 8". Good job reading there buddy.

How would have everyone thought Stoops did if he went 7-5. Beating UF and UL on the road? Even if we had lost whatever bowl game we went to, I'd say that gets a lot more attention than how we closed out losing 6 straight.

the schedule was frontloaded with cupcakes. When the competition picked up UK stood no chance. How will they be better defensively when they lose Zadarius Smith, Bud Dupree, Mike Douglas and a couple more? That defense and special teams unit was brutal. The OL was as bad as ours and Miller is now gone at LT. He was the best OL UK had. As is Javess Blue, Braylon Heard & Demarco Robinson

Our starter is a rising Junior, and we just took 3 QBs last class. What are you babbling about?

That is true but up to this point nobody including Dobbs has shown they can be consistent at QB. Granted the 3 FR haven't had their opportunity yet but also means nobody knows how any of them will turn out.I would hope he didn't ddecommitt because of bringing in the QB's but you never know. Not sure Jennings is even playing QB by time the '16 guys come in. If he doesn't wanna be here then cya and put a full court press on JG, who does seem to really love CBJ and UT. We can't go wrong with either one.

Haha, of all the UK fans you'll meet, I was the probably the quickest to say I was dead wrong. Have no problem saying UK had it's worse game against UT. No energy, tired and banged up. Wish we could have played against UT like we did against UL.

Just giving you a hard time. Lol. I got no problem with you. You're a good poster.

Not really the place to talk UK, but I'll bite.

I've already said all over VN, our schedule was indeed frontloaded. But I actually didn't mind it, because it let us get a little momentum and win a few easy ones before we got into SEC play. You saw us play very well against UF and USCjr (of course they weren't great). You saw us compete very well against UL, decently against Mizzou and MSU. I think how we lost to UT, LSU, and UGA really affected us. Got blown out, lost a lot of confidence and couldn't really stand up once we got knocked down.

Yeah, the defense will definitely struggle up front. Losing a couple future NFL players, but I hope Elam can step up and play like his 4/5* rating. DE will be a huge problem for us next year. Secondary should be the same, maybe a tiny bit better with experience. LB's were awful last year, but everyone pretty much returns so hopefully we step up.

Having fun with you...one of the amenities we furnish in the basic package. :)
