'16 NC RB BJ Emmons

somewhere someones 5th Grade English teacher just died. good. but on this topic

I guess the ask yourself question is how far decided enough is when he who decided had gone far enough away to decide not to decide the decision made that he had.

The problem with B.J. & why UGA backed off of him is simple...

The issue is he's not going to be able to meet the new requirement to have 10 of his core classes by the start of his senior year. It doesn't matter which college he's trying to get into, he will have to go JUCO or be a "academic redshirt". Link to the new rules below...

He's going to be a Jovon Robinson like recruit coming out of JUCO/academic RS year(which ever way it plays out) & who ever signs & or places him will get one helluva player. He's prolly one of the top 3-5 RB prospects in the '16 class but the pesky new NCAA rules are gonna bite him in the azz...

ETA:... This is why UGA has jumped on the Holyfield bandwagon in the last week... FWIW...

Butch is more creative than Mark "Fulmer" Richt. If we sign him, I'm not going to
worry about it until next summer.

I had to read your post a second time as I thought you had compared him to Robinson in academics. Emmons may or may not qualify, but Robinson's case was clear cut academic fraud, at least partly instigated by grade changes from a staff member who when caught resigned and refused to cooperate with investigators. Robinson was ruled ineligible by the NCAA for that reason (even though he probably "really" didn't qualify anyway)
