South Carolina will be better than some of you all think. What's so hard to understand about that?

They finished dead last in the SEC rankings according to fox sports and they have Skai Moore and Pharoah Cooper. They're not very good

Chump had better talent at UF and still lost. USCe won't be any kinder to him unless he changes just about everything from the way he did it at UF.

If by "better", you mean better than they were this year, then I will probably agree, but in context, they were pretty awful this year. They need to be a lot better than that to be a 7 or 8 win team even.

What do you mean by "understand" about that? What I understand, excuse me, what I KNOW is that your statement is an opinion. And it is an opinion based in some weird gut instinct, intuition, Cleo crystal ball nonsense. Or maybe just based on your general jacked up mental issues in which everything UT is in peril and everything going on at with other SEC teams is on the brink of unprecedented new heights. They were a bad team and lost all of their best players and now have a HC that could not win at a premier institution with NFL talent on the roster. That is truth based on evidence, not a baseless opinion.

I dont understand why people cant see that a guy who failed at uf is not gonna go to south carolina and be elite just no chance.

South Carolina will be at best the number 4 team in the East from here on out.

Most of that is thanks to us, and no thanks to 2008-2013

their defensive front is laughable esp going into 2016.

And I have absolutely no idea why. Perhaps they were all busts, but I lean more toward a total lack of development by the former staff. I think the talent/potential is there.

Abu Lamin **** (we wanted him pretty bad)
Dexter Wideman ****
Dante Sawyer ****
Shameik Blackshear ****
Marquavius Lewis ****

And then half a dozen three star ends/tackles just in the last two signing classes.

Blackshear is in a boatload of trouble personally. Of course it could all magically disappear if Mushamp wants. It's whether he will stay out of trouble after that.

Saban was average at Michigan State. Rich Rod was a failure at Michigan. Franklin was exceptional at Vanderbilt.

I don't think you made the point you were attempting to make. Muschamp was at a premier job. He had all the advantages and tools at his disposal that he will not have at USCe. So in other words, he playing against basically the exact same competition at a school that affords him few of the advantages that he had at UF and presents him with many new challenges that he did not have at UF. Better everything at UF. And he failed. None of your examples are similar.

Saban was solid at a school that was not a top notch program. He established a foundation that Dantonio utilized to take the program where it is now. He then got to LSU and Alabama, and because those programs offered him many more advantages than Michigan State he starting winning big.

Franklin won some at Vandy and has done nothing at Penn State. Most people up there can't believe how terrible 'his' offense has been. Not sure correlation there.

Rich Rod would be the closest example. But, a couple main differences are (1) he had proven successful before Michigan at West Virginia and (2) his success after Michigan has been in a much easier league/division to win in than the SEC.

Amazing how many don't get this. The better coaches learn from their mistakes and are usually very successful in their second and third attempts. The same as it is in every other profession.

Not true. Bowl games with a program that was in a clear rebuild from a near death penalty is not "done nothing". He's also not had his style of QB to use due to all of the Hackenberg support up there.

There's no rule that a guy has to succeed at a place in his first rodeo. Gainesville was left with a bunch of players that have since been rooted out due to off field issues that were CUM's guys.

One thing to keep in mind about Franklin's 3 years at Vanderbilt, he beat 4 teams with winning records through that tenure.

We beat 3 teams who won 10 games this year.

Their def. might be better but I feel sorry for their off. It will take the next coach 4 yrs just to get the off. Back on track.

Same people on here dogging USC who were on here last year saying there is no way the Gators would beat Tennessee this last season. How did that go for ya?
