'16 NC WR Diondre Overton

I'd say Clemson for sure. He's definitely a take for Tennessee but there doesn't seem to be much talk about him at all in regards to the Vols. WR is a big need though. They probably need at least 3 more WR's in this class. A couple of the guys currently committed that project there will likely be recruited over.

i hope they keep Henderson. Hes electric.

Thanks for the responses. He's apparently going to take full advantage of his OVs. This plays into Tenn's hands, so still a long way to go.

I think there are a couple guys on our board over Overton, but he is still an excellent WR. I think he is all Clemson.

Congrats on yall-- more than likely-- keeping Feaster as the RB in your class. Butch couldn't pass up on a guy that is roughly the fifth best RB in the class for possibly getting the second best RB.

Released his top 5 today: Clemson, Tennessee, Nebraska, UNC and NC State (in order).

Says this about UT...

Tennessee: “I love their coaching staff and I’ve developed a really good relationship with (wide receivers) coach (Zach) Azzanni. One of my friends, Emmanuel Moseley, also plays there and I had good time when I was there hanging out with him.”

Clemson leads. Announcing Jan. 3rd.

“Right now, it’s probably going to be Clemson, Tennessee, N.C. State, Nebraska and (North) Carolina,” said Overton, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 141 overall prospect and No. 24 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite for the 2016 class.

Overton said Tennessee remains second on his list because it’s “just a great program,” and he likes what he has heard from Vols wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni over the past several months.

“Coach Z, man, he’s just trying to get me down there, trying to battle out who’s the real Wide Receiver U,” Overton said. “I mean, that’s always interesting to find out. Both schools (Tennessee and Clemson) have pretty much developed great wide receivers.

“It’s a huge environment, great school. The stadium is huge. I just feel like that’d be a great atmosphere for me to be around. Their offense, the way they run their stuff, it looks like they’re going to be very aggressive throughout the season.”
