Yeah, as a parent it's a little sad to read things like that when it comes to parents deciding "for them". If that is what ends up happening with Gary.

Agree, Gary's recruitment is all over the map. Heck Michigan even hired his former HS coach...

So Michigan is pulling out the Ole Miss maneuver or Memphis or just the typical thing now a days. Sigh*

There is a lot of bad blood there too about Gary's Coach now at Michigan because he was supposed to be hired at Rutgers. Rutgers last minute decided against it because he was so hated by all the other coaches in the conference and they warned Rutgers to not even recruit their schools if he was hired by them. Lots of D-1 talent in that parochial conference. Michigan does lead for now and it is because of Jabrill Peppers and former Coach but it is still a long ways till NSD.

Pretty much. Evidently he only coached him for a few months, but there is a "trust" there at the very least. That's why lots of "insiders" are CBing mich for him....

We'll see I suppose.

I think it might have made more of an impact if JG went to Rutgers and was preaching to stay home. It's a little different when trying to get people to travel a good ways from home.

So what's the hurry for walker to commit if where JG went was so important to him?

Why not just wait for JG to commit to be sure? The answer is, because it isn't that important to him IMO.

Geez dude..... The point trying to be made is nobody knows, how important, or what is important to him. That includes you. That's why they are saying maybe. You're the only one acting like you know. There are a million possibilities.... they can guess, hope and assume all they want.... Bye now!

I don't claim to know anything. I am simply looking at what occurred and forming an opinion from what happened.

Who knows, maybe walker and Gary are dying to play with JG. Maybe they do. I am just giving my opinion.

That's why I included "IMO".

I'm kind of like you I don't think it's that important to him BUT if Walker is second guessing his commit which it seems he is at least looking at his options from some of his quotes and JG calls him up talking up UT then maybe it might be enough to get an official visit. I don't think that JG committing to UT pulls anyone here but it might be enough that some players in that state give UT a look and Butch Jones is dangerous when he gets a kid on campus. We get an official visit from both these guys and I'm happy.

On Gary, if you see some of his film it is absolutely beastly. I've been to a couple of his games and seen in person how he can dominate and he also steps us his game in the rivalry games. He sacked JG alone 6 times in there game last year - JG had no chance at all he was in the backfield so quick.

His 247 page says he runs the 40 in 4.74 seconds. I'm not sure if it's accurate, but that's extremely fast for a 300-pound high school DT.
