Anyone know stats from his game today?

Crushing it apparently. From what I saw on Twitter he's responsible for at least 4 tds passing and running. Probably more.

@Volquest_Paul: Vol commit having a big day against one of the best HS teams in the country.

@RivalsFriedman: 30yd TD pass by Guarantano for @BergenCatholic. 2PT conversion is good. @IMGAFootball leads 52-47 with 2:38 left

Edit: Ran for one and thrown for 4 (9, 30, 35 and another long one)

Guarantano crossing the goal line for a score Saturday in the first quarter.

Guarantano orchestrated five straight touchdown drives in the second half — with BC attempting to rally from down 21 — and led his team to seven TD drives in 11 series overall.

He did so with LSU-bound cornerback Saivion Smith lurking in the secondary and five-star defensive tackle Shavar Manuel attacking from the interior.

Guarantano also rushed 15 times for 64 yards and one score, statistically outplaying his future SEC counterpart (and friend) Shea Patterson (8-of-16, 202 yards; two touchdowns, one rushing). He is Rivals.com’s No. 1-rated QB and bound for Mississippi.

“I don’t want to hear anybody criticize my quarterback anymore,” Nunzio Campanile said. “I think he’s proven to be what everybody [has said] — where he’s been touted — that he’s one of the best in the country. He’s got a pretty good argument with the way he played against that team.”

Post that black Power T in the FF and watch hilarity ensue lol

LOL....I bet. Maybe while I'm doing my pre-game drinking on Saturday I'll post it over there, just to get a laugh.

Use a tag line like "Let's start a new tradition". That always riles em up.

While I consider myself to be pretty traditionalist, I Think a really dark black power T would look pretty sweet on the new smokey gray helmets. I love the orange T, but a black one on there would be cool too.

JMO of course.

JG should be getting a bump in the rankings. Outplayed nation #1 player head to head.

From Rivals....

This past weekend was a rare opportunity to make the three-hour drive from Connecticut to North Jersey and see some amazing 2016 and 2017 talent with IMG Academy making the trek up north. Later in the week, I'll talk about the 2017s, but let's start with the seniors.

The nation's No. 1 player, Ole Miss quarterback commit Shea Patterson, lived up to the hype. But I was also very impressed with his quarterback counterpart as Tennessee commit Jarrett Guarantano has himself a very good game in a 59-47 loss. In fact, Guarantano outplayed Patterson in the game head-to-head, although he was forced to be the focal point of his team's offense, unlike Patterson, whose team has many more weapons. Guarantano was very impressive and could be set for a bump in the rankings. Before Vols fans get ahead of themselves, Patterson backed up his No. 1 ranking and has done so all year so far.

Nice logic from Farrell.

"Patterson has a better team with more weapons around him, and Guarantano outplayed him despite being on a crappier team, but Patterson is still clearly the #1 QB"
