Hope we transition from Guarantano to Lawrence. I just have a feeling we won't get both Hunter and Trevor, and if I had to choose, it would be Lawrence I go for.

This, no one ever talks about him. Dormady won the backup job because he was an EE and knew the play book. People assume it's because he was clearly the better qb, but every practice vid I saw, Jones looked the best of all the QB, including Dobbs. Once he gets the playbook, I bet he competes for the job.

I'm certain he'll compete with him...they're both talented, but I have to ask: does a certain segment have practice videos the rest of us don't? I hear these opinions "based off practice videos" all the time...for either candidate. There's lots of hits and some misses for both...but pretty rudimentary overall.

I find it hard to believe you think you can generate an evaluation of the QB's from a few minutes of practice video throwing against air. The game, especially at the QB position, goes WAY beyond that. Those videos showing nothing about their leadership, knowledge of playbook, ability to read a defense, pocket presents :)dance:), competitiveness, work ethic, etc. It is crazy to discount Dormady or Jones. They both get to compete on a level playing field starting this offseason. Both 'appear' to have many positive qualities that it takes to be a successful QB. So at this point, its just about competition and seeing who rises up and progresses the most.
