We need Dobbs to go the distance next year with QD and SJ as back ups. Keep JG hype on lockdown. RS him and sign Hunter then open up the competition Spring 17. This is likely what happens anyway but it keeps future QB status in mystery. Shouldn't scare anyone away until the cream has risen.
From just watching his highlights you'd think JG regularly runs for big yardage, but that's not the case. His career rushing average is 2.1 ypc.
Freshman: 5 carries for 17 yards (3.4 ypc)
Sophomore: 56 for 42 (0.8)
Junior: 107 for 258 (2.4)
Senior: 82 for 204 (2.5)
Behind a good-to-excellent OL at UT, I think he'll put up much better numbers.
I mean, ya the transfer won't happen till then at earliest, but history shows a transfer will happen, so I don't think speculation is unreasonable.

His speed is deceptive, that's what I meant. Obviously he's a good runner. Calm thyselves...
There was nothing deceptive about that 58 yard TD reception against Florida. That's when I saw his speed was legit. 4.55 at least.
I think on a lot of scrambles He runs at a controlled pace that looks like he isn't moving fast. Dobbs can fly when being chased. Look no further than that long 60 yard run against Florida when he spun on Antonio Morrison. He turned up the speed as he saw a DB chase him.
