This kid is smart. There are exceptions but most kids, especially at the QB position, aren't quite ready to come in and take the helm as a true freshmen.

He has a plan and will be special IMO.

Take off the Orange glasses for a sec. Dobbs came in as book smart as any football player in the country. And he still had trouble reading coverage, and being on the same page as receivers. Plus atleast 2 4* QB's (maybe 3) will be a year ahead of him in the system.

Busy bee..

@Guarantano18: June 4 & 5 - Tennessee to work with Coach Gruden
June 6 & 7 - Los Angeles for the Elite 11
June 19 & 20 - Back to Tenn with a few guests

Need to do everything possible to keep him happy and headed to UT. Seems like he's going to be "the guy" recruiting for the 2016 class and hopefully he can bring a few players with him from the NE....

Why do "orange glasses" delude someone into thinking a prospect is special? The other 4* QBs fall under the ORANGE spectrum...right? :unsure:

Jr will be there June 5th for Specialist Camp. Hope we run into JG (both of them).

Jr met Gruden last year at this event.

He was referring to the fact that JG stated he expects to redshirt his first year I believe by saying he has a plan.

As for Dobbs, I think he'll look much better this year with more rapport with the receivers since he's the decided starter. Also, if the line can give him a few seconds of protection for a play to form (I think they can) he'll have a much better season. "Bad reads" don't all fall on him.

Ok bUT the fact remains he is wrong. He said he hadn't heard JG named Rutgers his leader, which is comical because not only did JG say it himself at the Rivals camp this weekend but the headline declaring it was splashed all over rivals whether one had a premium account or not. The "fail" in this case lies at the feet of Mr. Insider.

Whatever happened to this dude? :)

I know it's been said a lot by others, but it is freaky how much this kid resembles CKap...if he has any seasons like Kappys last year at Nevada. We are going to seriously compete for a title with that kind of O and the D we are going to put on the field.

Look at videos of other high school and even college QBs. Check out the release of those players.

Now look at JG. Has a very quick release, spins the ball very well, and has excellent arm stength. I really really like his skill set and believe that he will be the next truly great QB at Tennessee.

Kid commits to us. Wins mvp awards at a few camps has great showings and gets dropped a few spots. Makes absolutely no sense to me. O well rankings don't mean to much any way.

Sound conspiracy theorist but you're correct. Commit to OSU (or Rutgers for that matter) and his ranking jumps.
