He's a smart kid. You don't just go to the school you grew up rooting for. You go to the school that can best help you accomplish your goals.

I grew up a Vols fan but there is no way I woulda committed during the Dooley years when the program was in a nose dive. This is a business decision. And the smartest kids handle it as such.

Why can't folks read around here? I'm not discussing what's the best fit. He's said 2 different schools are his dream school. I'm questioning his sincerity not his decision.

Kinda cheap on your part. Young man making a big decision for himself. Overused the "dream school" part? Sure...maybe he gets nervous at interviews. Maybe we can find some skeletons dating back to elementary school. :matrix:

Maybe sincerity is a strong word. Not taking a shot at his character. I'm just confused as to who his dream offer is: O$U or UT?

Whoever he just visited. Used to be one of my pet peeves too, but in this instant access world, I give them a break nowadays. Understand your point tho.

Blair can be a backup at least. Our depth at OT is still less than ideal, but that doesn't mean we should pass on a kid who help us down the road just because he can't play day one.

That's a definite possibility, but there's no point in assuming it will happen before it does. Maybe he'll go try to find somewhere he can see the field. Maybe he'll just wanna stick along and enjoy a 2016 season that could be really successful and a lot of fun.

We'll see how it goes.

Finally, a couple of other interesting ties to keep in mind when it comes to Cincinnati, Ohio, offensive lineman Nathan Niehaus. In addition to having grandparents in Lake City and an aunt in Strawberry Plains, Niehaus has other ties to the Vol program.

Niehaus has an older brother who is a center on the Cincinnati team that was recruited to the Bearcats by Don Mahoney. The family really likes Mahoney and has a good relationship with him. The family is also good friends with the family of Dylan Wiesman. In fact, the Wiesman's live three doors down from the Niehaus' just outside of Cincinnati.

While Ohio State could be a factor in January, the numerous ties to the Vols could be hard to overcome for anyone.

😂😂 oh ok jamarcus king smh well hell if his grades was up he would've been in this unique orange but he blew it now he might be going to south carolina..when I get back into school and on the field hopefully I'll have a thread on here
