'16 OH OT Nathan Niehaus (UT Commit 1/1/16)

what worries me is that this kid's best offer was WVU. That's not the type of player we need to compete.

Emmanuel Moseley was committed to Charlotte (pre FBS move) before he flipped to us.

EDIT: Niehaus also has offers from Louisville, Bowling Green and Cincy. All decent programs

I have never seen the guy play so I can not project if he has a chance to play. What information do you have to indicate that he is not a payer?

If we didn't have as much depth on the line, we wouldn't take this kid. We now have the luxury of letting a kid develop without rushing him into the lineup. This is unless we have transfers for some reason.

Guys, it was sarcasm. Chill. If there is one thing I will gladly sit back and not complain about with this staff, it is recruiting. I just like digging on WV because one of their forums was talking about this thread and how delusional us TN hicks are. I'll be back to boom on Sunday.

Per Hubbs

It was once again a busy week for Tennessee's staff on the recruiting trail as the Vols were all over the country. This weekend they will host a small junior day with guys like Amari Rodgers, Ricky Slade, guy from Savannah and 2016 offensive tackle Nathan Niehaus all expected in. There are more expected as well.

The one to watch is obviously Niehaus as the Cincinnati native and Tennessee fan talked glowingly about the Vol offer earlier this week and indicated that at some point the switch to Tennessee was very likely. Will it come this weekend? We don't have any confirmation of that. But, we wouldn't be surprised if he went ahead and made a decision.

In talking to several close to his recruitment, Tennessee really likes his potential and the toughness and aggressiveness he shows. While he's a long ways from contributing at any program and some wonder if he can fill out his frame, there's a chance in a few years he can be a good player with his skill set.

Pot to kettle much?

and to any reading WVU fans, why don't you go beat up some pregnant women again.

Will return for an official visit in January. Austin Price says Vols are surging here.

Also, interesting he noted that Ohio State is picking up their recruitment of Nathan, and he may visit Columbus.

The trend in recruiting seems like it's becoming:

"Did Butch Jones just offer this kid? Guess we should take a look at him, too."
