'16 SC RB Tavien Feaster

Racean Feaster also commented on how much Tennessee improved it's standing. He mentioned he will be back for an official cisit and he's having to revisit his recruitment and that Tennessee made a big impression.

he'd be a HUGE get. he was my favorite RB in this class from the beginning. was dissapointed when he commited to clemson on NSD. hopefully we can land him. he would solve our RB depth problems in an instant.

imagine a trio of Hurd/Kamara/Feaster in 2016. oh lawd.

Feaster at RB in 2016 and hopefully Stevens then move to 2017 RB recruiting. If we get him it would be one of the biggest pulls ever by Butch.

"After this visit I most definitely have to reevaluate everything," Feaster said. "I've thought about Tennessee because when they came in the first time they recruited me they were recruiting me hard, but Clemson was selling the whole instate thing. But, now I realize they are about the same length from my house, it was like it wasn't that far. And if I go to Tennessee I can get away from home and be myself."

Sounding good to me...
“I mean, Georgia’s in the mix a little bit, but most definitely Tennessee and Clemson are my top two schools right now,” he said. “I mean, the conference is different, but there’s really not too much different between ‘em. They’re both my top schools right now, definitely. The coaching staffs, they’re very similar, and I believe this coaching staff [at Tennessee] is more … you know, they don’t really sugarcoat things. They’re very straightforward.

“They’re good guys. I really love ‘em.”

"It was awesome," Feaster said. "It was an awesome experience. Just the atmosphere and what we did today was pretty cool. It was one of the best visits I've ever been on.

"Just the way the coaches are pursuing me and just the way they went on about every player that is here. Coach Jones is very straight-forward and coach G was telling me everything I needed to know about Tennessee to get me looking more into Tennessee."

Despite a nearly 8-month commitment to Clemson, Tennessee has continued to pursue the Army All-American tailback. That has meant a lot to him as well.

"It means a lot," Feaster said. "It means that I was something special to those guys and I had to go check them out since I was that special to them. So, I wanted to see what they had to offer and now I know they have a lot to offer."

Feaster also likes the opportunity to be the lone feature-back the Vols plan on taking in 2016.

"(Jones) said I was going to be the only back they would take in 2016 and they only have four scholarship backs right now," Feaster said. "They have Alvin Kamara and Jalen Hurd and the two freshmen and he said I was a different type of back. My speed and the way I catch the ball were different.

"He said I could come in here and work hard and make a difference in this place."
