'16 SC RB Tavien Feaster

The idea of a middle of the pack Big 12 team coming in and beating Tennessee, UGA, and Florida (all of whom recruit at an elite level) and winning the East two years in a row was preposterous at the time.

Even with the East being down it was (and possibly still is) hard to believe that Mizzou would have been able to do what they've done. They've won 8 straight SEC games on the road on back to back ten win seasons using mostly two and three star talent.

I think they're a little bit better than you're giving them credit.

The East was not "down", the East was down right pathetic.

Never, Ever, had both Tennessee & Florida been so bad at the same time. Neither had been recruiting at an truly "elite" level.

Vandy won 9 games... TWICE, for part of that stretch. Were they good too?

Missouri twice won an incredibly depleted East, and twice lost to the West in the Title Game. They've truly proven nothing in my book, save how to take advantage of a weak division.

Let's see what they do with an East that boasts a rebuilt Tennessee, rebuilt Florida, & competent Georgia.

I'm guessing it won't be much to talk about.

South Carolina and UGA haven't been chumps.

The aforementioned, UT, and Florida also still recruit better than Missouri does, both then and now. On that alone, Mizzou should not have won the East either time.

Yes, it's not going to get any easier for them in the coming years, but Pinkel and his staff have done a great job maximizing their talent while also taking advantage of a weaker than usual division.

Dooley. Muschamp.

Dooley. Muschamp.

Doesn't matter. We still had more talent on roster. So did Florida. Pinkel developed and utilized his players better.

I'm not trying to argue that they're some sort of power house, but you're making excuses for two teams that should never have lost to them in the first place while also disregarding what Pinkel has done.

You're trumpeting Pinkel's impact on his teams, while downplaying Dooley's & Muschamp's impact on their teams? Can't have it both ways.

We really didn't. We had talent in spots, but way too many holes in key areas.

Maybe. I have a source that tells me he knows that at least 1-2 kids will sign in February with teams they are currently not committed to.

Lol whatever.........a source? Feaster will sign with Clemson unless an asteroid strikes earth then all bets are off.

Wait were you being sarcastic? Tricky

So it's going to take a global catastrophe to flip him?

Tavien Feaster is an interesting addition to the visitors list this week as the South Carolina native has been committed to Clemson since the winter. But, credit Robert Gillespie for staying on top of that one as Feaster continues to listen to the Vols.

Remember, the Vols were one of his finalists before committing to the Tigers and he's already visited Tennessee a couple of times.
