Seen this in the FF, our staff needs to sit down and have a talk with him

Powell's Middleton Absent:
Powell sophomore post Darel Middleton was a no-snow Thursday Morning when the Panthers beat Hardin Valley 80-56 in the Pilot winter classic. Middleton, 6-6, 228 pounds, has committed to play football for Tennessee. He was dismissed from the Powell football team shortly before the 2013 season ended, but was on the Panthers basketball roster when the season started. "I haven't heard from (Middleton) in over a week," Powell basketball coach Mike Ogan said Thursday. "I have no idea where he is."
This is becoming a "who cares?" story for me. And by that I mean that the kid has bigger issues than getting into UT or playing football. Somebody needs to step in for him or he's just going to learn about life the hard way.
Given the tone of the people posting all the gossip about him, it doesn't sound like we've got any LeAnne Tuohys in the Powell area, and if half the gossip is true, he might not even listen if anybody tried to help him out. That's even assuming any of these upstanding kid bashers went about it the right way.
Writing's on the wall with this one. Might be best for everybody if he just learns on his own. Maybe Urbs can get him in at OSU.
Edit- the "kid basher" thing wasn't in any way referring to anything that has been said during the latest episode of Darel's of Our Lives.
He is a 2016 commit. That means he has time to get things straightened out, and it might be best for him to move on from Powell. Not saying things against Powell, but a change of scenery might be in order in this case.

I'm a Powell grad too but a little earlier. Thought we may know each other. Both my brother and sister went to Powell too but I think you are right smack in the middle of them.

Yes, he was a hoot. I go back a little further ('97 Halls grad). He was my gym teacher at Brickey Elementary, and he was great. You got a real sense at that young age not to cross him.
People's issue was the outright bashing of the kid. Not doubting they were true issues but better ways to bring info than calling kid names and degrading him
