Sorry I missed the part where there was name calling. The Powell people that have posted here about him and are "in the know" have been respectful and have said on multiple occasions that they were pulling for him regardless of whether it was at Powell or another school.

If saying the kid is a head case is name calling then I say if the shoe fits, wear it. I've seen nothing but the truth here and this kid could stand some more of it. He's not a kid that needs coddling, he needs to be told his opportunity to straighten out is quickly evaporating. If "calling it like it is" is degrading maybe he should take notice. I'd be willing to bet you he never makes it to UT.

Darel was back at Powell this past week because his transfer to Bearden "fell" through. I guess he'll be looking for a different school to transfer to.

Yes, he was officially kicked off the team because he no-showed for several days and never bothered telling Ogan. I'm sure he thought his transfer was a done deal and he was finished with Powell, but it seems it didn't quite work out the way he planned.

Someone on VQ pointed out this kid is no longer listed as committed to UT. No comment from VQ mods yet.

Anyone else with the scoop?

I haven't heard one way or the other. If that's the case, UT probably pulled back on the offer because Darel was all in for the Vols.

Even if he does get his act together, it will be a nightmare getting him through the clearinghouse with all of the transfers.

How many transfers have actually happened though? I was under the impression, most of them fell through, and never came to fruition.

Didn't he go from one school to Powell, and now could possibly be going to Oak Ridge? That would be 3 schools so far in his HS career.

So he started at Powell? Is still at Powell. Could possibly, maybe, rumored to, go to Oak Ridge. That is only one transfer in HS career. No big deal. Even if he did transfer 3 times, that is still not a huge deal.

Are we not interested in a guy who has transferred every year of his HS career?

I am certain he was at Powell his freshman year. I also am certain he was zoned for Powell and not granted a out of zone exemption or anything.
