@Volquest_Paul: Just talked to @Flyest_Angel_7 and he'll be working out at TE/HB tomorrow. That's where I think his ceiling is highest. A top 2016 prospect.

Fortenberry has a video interview with Angel up on VQ. Angel said he measured in 6'2.5 and 213lbs. Said he's played mostly RB growing up but he's projected at TE/HB in college so that's what he's focusing on now and where he'll play this week. Talked about how he works out at IFM in Nashville and really likes the competition level there.

He spoke highly of UT, said coach Elder is his main recruiter and they talk a lot. He plans to come up soon for a basketball game at UT. He said he really likes the coaching staff at UT, said he likes the way Butch and the staff run things. He said he'll probably check out a Vandy basketball game soon too and doesn't have any spring visits planned yet.

Doesn't sound like a Vandy lock to me.

Doesn't sound like a Vandy lock at all. Will be interesting to see what happens when CJF leaves...long way to go nonetheless.

He just ran a 4.62 here at the UA underclassmen combine. Can't remember his official weight but it was around 215. Looks very impressive for a 2016 guy.

For me, 2016 athlete Gabe Angel had a really impressive day. He was one of the youngest tight ends but at 6-3, 215 or so he looked really good physically and moves extremely well.

He started out the day running a 4.62 and in one-on-ones he caught a lot of balls and was able to get open a majority of the time. I'd also be interested to see what he looks like at linebacker as he moves really well and has great size.

I don't think that's gonna matter now. We are about to see Vandy fall far back into irrelevancy. Will be hard to push a kid into that while seeing the excitement in Knox.
