'16 TN ATH JoeJuan Williams

I would be surprised if LSU has any room for this kid after today's developments, unless we're looking at him as a safety. Kristian Fulton, Trayvon Mullen, and Khalil Ladler are expected to commit soon. And we might get one of the 5* Texas safeties.

You guys expecting Ladler to commit soon? I know he is planning on taking visits, think he will be one to stick?

Hard to say. All of them are takes and leaning heavily our way, but things can change. We return zero starting CB's in 2016 so numbers won't be an issue.

We take another step in the right direction on the field and the recruiting will take care of itself. Butch has already proved that he can recruit during the lean years. So I have no doubt he can close during a potential turnaround year.

Guys LSU likely won't be a factor since the departure of Chief. Auburn and FSU will likely be a factors. The thing is Joejuan will not be a cb and will not be playing cb for Hendersonville either. He's a natural safety and FR had him playing out of position.

From Rivals:

"I want to sit down and talk with both of them," Williams said. "That is my major focus during that visit. I already know Coach (Rhett) Lashlee and Coach (Gus) Malzahn. I have family there. I know a lot of people from my high school go there. I have a lot of love for Auburn."

The Rivals100 safety patiently waited to see who the Tigers would hire to replace former secondary coach Melvin Smith, who Williams had a close relationship with during his tenure. And he wasn't disappointed.

"I was little nervous at the beginning," he said. "Coach Smith was my guy. When I saw that they hired Coach Muchamp and Coach T. Rob -- it was big time. They made a solid choice. It all depends on how much we can build our relationship. That's why I want to get to Auburn as much as I can."

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Nashville (Tenn.) prospect says that his interest in Auburn goes deeper than what his relationship is like with the man calling the shots on the field though.

"You know how they say you should pick a school because of the school," he said. "Auburn is that school. Even with a major coaching change I still had them near the top of my list. The last time I went down there it felt like family. I stayed with a lot of friends, and it's a good time. They are so hyped down there. I love the student section."

No, it doesn't sound good, but if AU were his "Dream School" then he would have already committed there, IMO. He said he has several friends there. How many Father Ryan athletes have went to AU in the past couple years?

Doesn't sound good right now, but after this last recruiting class, I wouldn't count Butch Jones out of it at all. Just like after that South Carolina, I'll not turn off another UT game Jones is coaching in until the score goes final.

Kyle Phillips named LSU his leader just a matter of days before committing to us, and back in December no one thought we were going to get Drew Richmond.

Whenever I see recruits that like other schools, I just think we will get someone better. We are in it for a lot of DBs this cycle. I am not worried, we will get ours. I also feel if a recruit doesn't mention us, it is because Butch doesn't want him, not the other way around. Its all good

just was saying it doesn't sound good, not that i was tapping out.

Need to get him to campus for a huge game and win. It seems like Auburn really hit the jackpot at the type of kids they had at games like the UGA and Bama miracles. Once in a lifetime type deals and atmospheres that are hard to top. I think he was at the bama game.

With hopefully Warrior taking 1 S spot, I'd take either Williams or Vaughn at the other S spot(1st to commit gets it). Take 2 total for the class and call it good. Jmo

Warrior, Vaughn, Phillips, Osborne would be a strong DB class. 3-4*'s and 1-3*.

Since this past class included a safety that many project to move to LB and a JUCO, leaving potetially only two 4 year DB's in Abernathy and the guy from Texas, I'd like to see them take about 3 safeties and 3 corners. Especially since we're in on so many good ones.

Vaughn is a CB, is he not?
