Did Hendersonville give him the expectation that he would be fine before transferring or did he already have an idea this was possible? Hopefully they were upfront that nobody knows what the TSSAA will do so think about this decision before coming over. I know alot of times people will tell these kids what they want to here to get them there and worry about eligibility later. Hopefully that wasn't the case here
I don't know. He's got so much support as a football player, you'd think the people around him would tell him it's a bad idea

Agreed. Whether the rule is silly or not, it's still in effect and it's a rule set forth by the same agency that would decide on said rule. The fact that a hardship application had to be applied and from all reports everyone seemed like he would be perfectly fine is somewhat puzzling to me.
I don't know the entire story as to why he enrolled at HHS, but you're right VBN, you would think someone would have said something.
Unless Mom gave them the address she was moving to before she actually moved, it probably had nothing to do with Hendersonville. The tssaa says they didn't move far enough away from previous address or school. They say it's 18 miles as the crow flies.....even though it's 20 something miles away when you, ya know, drive.....on roads. apparently 20 miles is the magic number, but you have to have a crow to measure it correctly.

You 2 guys are talking a bunch of jibberish. In what other state is it illegal or against the rules to transfer private to public or from one county to the next. Definitely not the ones surrounding TN. The kid's mother had to find a place to live and it was not feasible to get him to FRHS. He live far from his old address and in a different county. Why would "we" the ppl around him think to tell him or his mother this is not a good idea to move and change schools with a plan to EE? Only the tssaa does dumb s&#t like this not in KY, Miss, Ala, NC or Ga.
The heck? Are you serious about the crow? Sounds like some dumb crap ole Rodney Carter prob put I. The rule book knowing nobody is flying to school on a mofo crow
