'16 TN ATH JoeJuan Williams

Yesterday was my first chance to see Williams compete live. He did not disappoint, he played corner most of the camp and was very physical off the line of scrimmage. He was calling people out and not backing away from anyone and wanted to prove he was the best out there. The guys I work with in camps have a saying about a fearless competitive player we say " He's got that dog in him" Williams definitely fits that mold my closest comparison is Jalen Ramsey. He did tell Mecole he would see him at UT this weekend not sure if it will happen but keep an eye out for it.

Actually that was the new Joejuan lollllll he was feeding off of our 2017 probably 10 db TJ Carter from Hendersonville HS. They have been working together and TJ's attitude is quickly rubbing off on Joejuan. TJ is the guy who as a freshman shutdown Josh Malone in the gm HHS defeated SC in the playoff gm Josh SR season. We also had the top qb in Ben Brooks from Pope John Paul and top DL in Brandon Adams a DT from Brentwood Academy

In the past few years, I would have said "he gone". But after this past recruiting class, I wouldn't count Butch Jones out of it for anybody. It seems that the stars have sort of been aligning for UT a little bit more lately too (Franklin leaving, Chavis leaving, etc). A couple nice possibilities that could potentially really help here:

-Cam Sutton gets a lot of 1st round hype next year..
-UT finishes with 3 more wins than last year.
-FSU takes a significant post-Winston dip.
-A&M and Arky will be improved, Bama is Bama, Auburn finishing about 4th in the West wouldn't hurt either.

I go to a lot of FR games and this kid is really good, I don think he is in the Jalen Ramsey talk. Maybe one day.
Kid gets knicked up a bit to, hopefully he will be healthier for his Senior season

SIAP, but on rivals Joejuan and Nigel Warrior are both listed as safties. Will they play the same position in college? Does that hurt our chances of getting both?

Not saying Carter isn't really good, but the fog helped shut down Malone. I know that sounds silly but anyone that saw that game will know what i'm talking about. It was crazy. Wish they would have used Malone as a running back that game.

What number is TJ at HHS?

Yes the fog was a factor too, but he was very physical too and played Josh hard as hell disrupting anything they attempted to do. Even Josh says this to this day. TJ will have an offer from every SEC tm by season end just watch.

Really feel this guy will end up a Vol. Had a gut feeling about Phillips all the way and feel the same here.

But, could you imagine the length on this secondary?!?!?

JoeJuan Williams (listed at 6'2 195)

Nigel Warrior (listed 6'0 175)

Donte Vaughn (listed at 6'3 190)

Plus the stretched out guys like Justin Martin, Stephen Griffin, Gaulden, Moseley, and then all the other normal sized DBs (who BTW are cold blooded too, see TKJR)

Edit: just realized TKJr is listed at 6'0 too. Legion of boom anyone?

Don't forget Nygel Edmomds as well.... Another 6'0 defensive back

I'm basing it on when I saw Jalen his junior year at a combine and when I just saw JoeJuan at the Adidas combine I'm not considering high school film or what Jalens doing in college just what I've seen at combines at that stage of there career

TN is def a factor but Auburn has always worried me with how he talks about them. He loves Auburn but like he said to 247 Butch is going to try like a maniac to keep him in state. TN is one of two teams he told them were recruiting him the hardest.

I think he has recently stated that the two teams sticking out with him now are UT and Ohio State. Most people think UT leads, but AU was definitely his favor for awhile and could easily jump back in

Just found the quote

Rivals100 defensive back JoeJuan Williams said two schools are pushing to the front for his services, Tennessee and Ohio State.

Interesting.

OV said in the Hardman thread he talked to Williams this past weekend and AU and FSU were his leaders.

I haven't seen FSU mentioned anywhere, this was the first time I've seen Ohio State mentioned. He also isn't on the FSU Rivals hotboard they just put up 3 days ago. It had Nigel Warrior, Dexter Lawrence, Khalil Ladler, but no Williams. People at his school said he favors LSU and UT right now and others say UT and AU. The one constant is always UT
