'16 TN CB Dorian Banks (Former UT commit)

Hate all the negative comments when a kid decommits. Given how much talent we're bringing in, some of these guys may never get to see the field. Honestly, if I had a choice between being a benchwarmer for 4 years at UT or being a 3-year starter at somewhere like East Carolina, Miami (OH), or Western Kentucky, I'd probably choose being a starter.

Everyone has to decide what's best for himself. For Mr. Banks, getting a chance to play may be a big priority. I wish Mr. Banks nothing but the best of luck.

Hasn't he bounced around different schools already?
"patterns tend to repeat themselves"

I found this, not sure what it means............

Banks returned to Sevier County this season after playing at Gallatin as a junior, becoming eligible the week leading into the regular season after a bona fide change of address.
also played for the Smoky Bears as a sophomore, and at Ezell-Harding as a freshman.

Not sure if he is even Vandy level at this point. Will see how his season and academics go.

He is a grade risk, apparently.

The problem with athletics: you're invincible....until it's time to get eligible for college. We coddle these kids because they can run, jump, throw, and catch. It's no surprise they find out too late that they actually have to apply themselves.

Hate it, because I have met Banks a couple of times, and he seemed like a good kid. However, this is the usual pattern. Some commit early, but plans and priorities change over time, especially when they have to deal with things like eligibility issues. Wherever he goes, hope he gets his degree and has a good college experience.
