would be great if this kid jumped on board early
I don't see him committing to anyone for a while. He is getting a lot of attention and he is enjoying visiting around. This kid is smart, and his dad is very close to him. You can bet he will take his time and make sure he is making the right decision.

A lifelong Memphis resident who admittedly grew up liking Georgia, Vaughn said he picked up his first three offers over the past few months.

“Auburn, I got (that offer) when I was at their spring game,” he said. “And during our spring practices and stuff, I got offered by Miami. Then, when I went to Ole Miss’ camp, I got offered over there.”

But his offer from Tennessee caught his attention more than perhaps any of his previous offers.

“They’re definitely at the top,” Vaughn said.

Donte really enjoyed the visit over the weekend. His dad said that they were shown so much love. He came into work this morning chanting "VFL, VFL". They were very impressed with the facilities and coaching staff. Donte did well in camp. He went against Alvin Harper Jr on one play. Harper tried to run a deep route, but Donte picked it off. His dad said there was a receiver there that ran a 4.2 40. Donte went against him and jammed him on the line so he couldn't go long. It's obvious that his techniques are there. He still plans to visit Georgia in a couple of weeks, but it sounds like Georgia is gonna have to really make a big impression on him to gain ground. He plans to attend the Utah St game.

the 4.2 was hand timed im pretty sure. He said it would be like a 4.37 on laser. Still super fast

I think it was a WR out of TX, but can't find where it was posted.

Out of Va actually.

Rising junior athlete Grant Holloway of Grassfield High School in Chesapeake, Va., posted on his Twitter account that he was timed at 4.26 seconds in the 40-yard dash Friday at Tennessee's camp, recording the "fastest time" among all participants.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Holloway received his first scholarship offer from Virginia Tech in March. He's a standout wide receiver and defensive back at Grassfield who's also a state champion hurdler.

Apparentley, Donte is the backup QB for Whitehaven. One of the Whitehaven coaches told me that they put him in at QB in a scrimmage against MUS, and he had an 85 yard TD run. Said he is fast.

He said that he currently has 5 offers- UT, OM, Miami, Auburn, and he couldn't remember the 5th.

Probably Vandy since he couldn't remember it.

Next year's DB class could be absolutely sick. Let's see they currently lead for Vaughn, Osborn, and Hardman (Could also be a WR) at Corner and are arguably in the Top 2 for both Warrior and Williams at Safety.

Don't forget all-star Taylor from Hunter's old high school, we are going to be in the mix with him as well.

Agreed. The possibilities of our potential DB class next year are downright amazing. Talk about an elite defensive backfield...nasty.
