Oh Pam.

Hamm, Johnson, Matthews, and Dickerson.

If that ends up our Oline class. Do you like this class better talent wise than last year's?

That is probably a class of three or maybe even four 4* OLinemen when all is said amd done. Probably a better overall haul than last year in terms of ranking, but a lot of versatility and balance in there as well. Bookend tackles and two guys in Dickerson and Hamm that could probably guard or tackle in a pinch.

OLine recruiting is looking up.

I would like the combination of the two classes very much. Solid depth with athleticism and physicality across the board. My only question would be, who can play center? Stewart? Bulware?

Coleman Thomas
Ray Raulerson
Zach Stewart

I believe each of these are viewed as potential Centers.

IMO, if you are a top guard prospect you need to know how to play both C/G. This will raise your personal stock, which will increase your chances of being drafted one day. Knowing both guard positions and the center position also maximizes the chance you will see playing time. There's really no downside to knowing both guard positions and the center position.

This is why you saw Robertson getting snaps at C this spring. It's just smart business for the player and for the team. You always want to have a Robertson on the field, but if you have another great G prospect behind him, you can now slide Robertson over to C. It's a win-win. It also greatly increases his draft value, which is important to rising players like Robertson.

was Raulerson practicing in spring? His name wasn't mentioned a single time and everyone but him got center snaps

I wondered about him as well. I just assumed he wasn't mentioned because he isn't close to being able to compete with Crowder, Thomas, Robertson, et al. I do know he wasn't even getting second team snaps.

That's not good but I bet we win out.

I would argue that it actually is good.

A traditional power like Michigan, in a state that pumps out Uber O Linemen, is offering a kid from Tennessee?

That's a good sign if you ask me.

We just need to land him.

We will if we want him.

"I've been working on Bryce but the one thing I want to be careful about with Bryce is he's one of my really good friends and I want to make sure that I stay his friend," Ryan Johnson said. "I don't want to pressure him into anything. Wherever he wants to go I'll be happy with that. It'd be great if we play together but I understand that it's hard to do that."

However, Johnson may be underselling the likelihood of the two playing together. Mathews has a slew of major college offers with schools like Michigan, Clemson, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Alabama all among his list of active suitors but the Vols have as strong of a shot as anybody and Johnson's presence on the commitment list is a legitimate factor.

"It definitely is a big factor, just having a guy at the school you already know that you played with that you're comfortable with, both going through this whole recruiting process together and then to be able to go to a new team together and already have that bond," Mathews said. "That's stuff I'm going to take into account when I think about it."

In addition to Tennessee, Mathews listed Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, Alabama and Clemson as the programs that he's focusing on at this point in the process. Clemson, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Ohio State have all received visits this spring.
