not to pile on but what 3* TE from Texas?

Vanderbilt 2016 Football Commits

their highest ranked guy is 528 (to Pope's 540, our third lowest), and they have no TE or anyone from Texas.

I thought Sin City Vol was a vandy troll, but I evidently got him confused with someone else (his other posts are not vandy trollish that I could see) sorry SCV.

Pope is likely going to continue to rise up in rankings thanks to his recent camp run. The offer list he has racked up in a month speaks for itself. You don't leave every single power 5 conference camp you attend with an offer and not be something special.

i agree, he starts getting the attention and soon the rating services will have to bump him.

Not that it matters, but once summer camps end he will be a 4*. Top 15 or higher TE. Needs 25 lbs, which he will get, and becomes a serious player.

Just curious, but is this based on solely your opinion or did you hear this from someone close to his recruitment? I've always wondered if coaches discuss a players ranking that they are recruiting. I'm sure they don't really care but I'd bet they take a look.

Of course it matters... It means coaches etc. saw him, evaluated him, think he's good, and will get better.
That is not towards you... It just sucks we cant like a guy being a 4 or 5 star after Butch, Saban, Meyer, Stoops, rivals, 247 evaluate and offer a player because some don't understand stars. We always have to put that disclaimer in there so we don't have to hear "oh so I guess he's better now". Lol
