I think this is the same kid that had his name called to win mr football then said they made a mistake and gave it to Tee Higgins

Had 87 receptions for 1,710 yards & 28 TDs this season, 62 catches for 1,290 yards & 17 TDs last year.

On a side note, someone's going to get a steal by signing Independence QB Andrew Bunch.

From a game or 2 I saw on tv these guys were making it look easy. Pitch and catch all day

Corey Henderson = Josh Smith
Jeff George = Josh Malone with better hands
Brandon Johnson = Justin Hunter post injury
Nate Johnson = Pearson, but quicker out of his cuts
Velus Jones = Pig Howard
Donnie Corley = Jason Croom

V. Jones > N. Johnson > Jeff George > Corey Henderson > B. Johnson > D. Corley

Its just my opinion and who I think each player compares to (not saying they are the exact same). Based on the way they use their hands, come out of cuts/breaks, footwork etc.

Corley catching that championship game td when it mattered tho

Also, I am no film expert but in a few areas it looks as though his film is abnormally fast, like purposefully sped up fast.

I watched about a minute of the HUDL video and noticed the same thing. I don't know if it's my computer, HUDL's website, or if they sped up the film to get all of his highlights in there, but it definitely looks a little "off."

This kids tape is really impressive

Known this kid since he was 5 years old, actually coached him when he and my son played on the same youth team when they were 10 years old or so. Comes from a great family, parents in the military, he's a great kid. Incredibly quick, very fast, got a lot of confidence. A little small, would make a great slot WR at Tennessee IMO.

He's a legit 4.45 or so kid. Very fast and very quick.

The guys film looks good and he is rated as high as velus, i would definately take an instate kid who is ranked as high as an out of state player no matter how much everyone seems to be gushing over him.

Made me think of Vic Wharton when I watched him play.

Similar to Vic on the field, probably a better route runner already, similar speed, not quite as big. I always kinda saw Vic as a return guy playing WR whereas Nate is a better, more polished WR IMO. Also, Nathan is a much better human being off the field.

Why are we just now hearing about this kid on a larger scale? Just curious.

He started getting offers later on when schools saw how he was playing during his senior yr. Miami, South Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee. Id bet he will get a few more offers.
